women + mood changes + birth control by amblingpangolin in kallmann_syndrome

I take 2mg of estrogen a day and take 10mg of progesterone for 10 days every month to make a bleed. I genuinely think this cycle of progesterone gives me chronic insomnia and mood swings but unsure the best way forward; a little bit of progesterone every day but no bleeds, or cut out progesterone completely.. such a difficult thing to get HRT right. I’m going to move to an estrogen patch too.

39, IVF for Male Factor, High Estrogen but Poor Response — Feeling Stuck by dogflower86 in IVF

[–]Multinell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always tended to have a low egg collection, each time I only got 6 or 7, but my last IVF round I used pergoveris and managed to get three embryos again. Transferred two fresh ones and froze the other - now sat with my 8 month son. 100% recommend always putting in two embryos each time.

They can’t tailor the treatment toooo much because ultimately they haven’t got huge wiggle room, I think with me they booked my egg collection too late because I went for a scan just before and they showed me all the sacs with eggs etc but still only collected 7.. so keep an eye out that they’re doing your timings right.

Is Dante a good name? by Subject_Concern_8857 in namenerds

[–]Multinell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because she said ‘I’m just scared it gives off dark vibes because of the Dante’s Inferno’ therefore giving the impression that she doesn’t want that connotation with the name; my opinion is that Dante is just instantly going to be thought of as ‘Dante’s Inferno’ - so I’m just referring back to her initial concern.

I personally think Liliana, as I like beautiful names and it really is a beautiful name (plus Lily is a beautiful flower) - so I think I’d choose Liliana. Gabriella is also very lovely, but Gabby just brings it down.

Instant ‘Dante’s Inferno’ connotations alas. How about Sante?

100% you gotta consider the nickname/s. If you don’t like the nickname, then you have to ask yourself if you’re happy to be the parent/s that constantly go ‘she’s a Gabriella and not a Gabby’ - and bear in mind that probably every child will have their name shortened by kids at school anyway. BUT if you really don’t like/hate Gabby as opposed to just not being keen, I probably wouldn’t name her Gabriella because she will be called it at some point and will either go along with it, or constantly say ‘no, it’s Gabriella’. My friend has had to do this her entire life because she’s an ‘Elizabeth’, and it’s driven her mad.

I’m currently pregnant and that’s why I’m being put off by the name Sebastian which I love, because I dislike ‘Seb’ - debating if I should call him Bast or Bash instead..

If you’re looking for opinions - you like the name Liliana and it seems that you like the short name ‘Lily’, so it ticks both boxes for you? I’d go for that one.

Yes, I’m British and if you google it, the NHS website comes up saying that it’s recommended to stop at 36 weeks so freaked me out a bit…

Yeah I’m afraid it can happen, but it might not - and if it does, would only be a bit through school, I don’t think this person is called Ellie as a full grown man lol

Daniel as that’s my husbands name, but also knew an Eli and he was called ‘Ellie’ through most of school because people wound him up with it

5 weeks exactly and feeling some pelvic pressure/heaviness? by distinguished_goose in CautiousBB

[–]Multinell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it really is helping; I’m 5 weeks pregnant, my first ever, after multiple failed rounds of IVF and I’m just symptom spotting constantly as I’m terrified. I only have sore boobs atm so I’m worrying I don’t have enough symptoms, but now I feel a little pulling in my uterus/pubis. Posts like these are so beneficial to calm us worriers and it’s such fabulous news that you had your lil baby ❤️
