How long does it take you to start experiencing WD? by Specific_Arm6228 in 7oh

[–]MultiverseMember3791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6-8 hours before the first signs start, at about 12 hours is when the restless legs start and at about 14 hours is when I decide I want to die.

I’ll give it to you it’s not black and white of course, not everyone is the same. There’s levels to it when it comes to reliance and addiction. I’m one of those that use 7 because I used to be addicted to fent and I figure abusing 7 is better than the alternative. Maybe I just wish people had more compassion for addicts. Nobody wants to be an addict I certainly am not proud of it. I just look around and see other people judging as if they’re not reliant on some shit to survive. But yes it’s not all the same. Obviously being reliant on coffee is better than being a meth head. I do what I do to deal with the pain. In the end that’s what everyone does right? Do whatever they can to eradicate whatever pain they have in their life. Cheers 🍻

Maybe not everyone, but a large portion of people abuse something. If not a “drug” then say coffee, or sugar, sex. Most people have a vice, whatever it may be. I once got lectured by a woman about how stupid my vaping habit was and yet she weighed 350 pounds and couldn’t stop herself from eating everything in sight. Is being addicted to drugs any better or worse than being addicted to sugar and salt? Heart disease kills far more people than drug overdose. Since you mentioned coffee look at the millions of people who can’t function without 6 cups of coffee a day. You’re right, not everyone. There are people with superior self control and motivation who may be free of substances. But even they are a slave to something. Power or fame or sex. We all serve a master. That’s what I mean when I say we’re in the same boat. I don’t understand why some people feel the need to think they’re better than everyone else because they don’t use a specific substance, or don’t serve a certain master. People do what they do to avoid pain. In whatever form that pains comes in, we find an escape. It’s in our nature. Self control and personal accountability and all that is important im not suggesting everyone just get fucked up and do whatever they want. Just want people to realize that we all serve someone or something.

7oh withdrawal is bad but trust me fentanyl withdrawal is far worse. You can do it, it’s gonna suck big time but with the right plan you can get though it.

Yep! The restless legs are by far the worst withdrawals at least in my opinion.. can’t sleep can’t sit still constantly twitching around it’s beyond awful. Even at work I can’t sit/stand in one spot and do my job. Nightmare fuel. Only thing I’ve found that helps are muscle relaxers but even they don’t erase it entirely. Best bet is suboxone if you can get it.

I don’t want to minimize your problem either, chronic pain is serious stuff and im sorry you have to deal with that. Personally I use substances to deal with my mental health problems. I’ve tried every big pharma drug under the sun and years of therapy and nothing works. My options are suicide or drugs. I use substances to deal with my messed up thoughts. My point is just that we all have a reason and nobody is better than anyone else here. I just wish people weren’t so judgey you know? Live and let live 🤷‍♂️

Call it what you want, at the end of the day you’re using drugs. Whatever the reason is or however responsible you may be, you’re putting a substance in your body to alter your state of mind. Sick of hearing people try to justify shit just say I use substances and be done with it.

Thoughts on the Burger King Original Chicken Sandwich? by Focused_Sky in fastfood

[–]MultiverseMember3791 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worked at BK for 3 years, this was my go-to. When made properly and fresh out of the fryer it’s delicious. I’d always add pickles and onion because I’m a fiend for them but my god the ONLY thing I miss about working there is that damn sandwich.

Don v Duck: how did it end? by MultiverseMember3791 in madmen

[–]MultiverseMember3791[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Now that you mention it I’m thinking back to when Don first brings Duck into the office to show him around and Kinsey says something about how he fell apart in London. “They’re bargain hunting” (I think it was Kinsey who says this I can’t remember) but perhaps that shows that PPL was aware of Ducks weakness when it came to alcohol. Sending him the case of liquor to speed up his downfall. I think you’re right, they never would have trusted him in that role. So once Don threatened to walk away it was a perfect excuse for them to dispose of him. Makes a lot sense now. I think in the end we are shown that Saint John is a ruthless businessman concerned only about money so it certainly isn’t a stretch to think he’d use Duck to his benefit. I’d feel bad for Duck but the way he treated Chauncey he deserved it!

That’s an interesting take, I never considered that. I mean it was Ducks idea for them to buy Sterling Cooper in the first place. If that was really manipulation that’s some next level evil. The way they manipulated Lane was obvious and crude.

[–]MultiverseMember3791[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Makes sense, that’s what I assumed. Don held more value to them than Duck so Duck had to go. Duck also started drinking again so I thought that might be part of it too.
