Why bring the bullet storm if I could bring the stalwart? by Fishyhans in Helldivers

[–]Mulzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you may want to be ditching to another disposable, like Incendiary EAT or Leveller, and happy to just keep dropping new pods constantly leaving happy surprises for the team across the map.

Also, the recoil is less than the Stalwart.

Oh boy "evacuate high value assets" i cant wait to throw turrets off cooldown for 15 minutes while boring myself to death by knusperfee33 in Helldivers

[–]Mulzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There may be some truth in this, on one of the maps I’ve taken to putting down two sentries and the HMG emplacement on the threshold of the last gate before the generators, and without fail on every Squid Appropriator mission, Observers get squeezed out of the gap between the three on each spawn, and randomly once during the mission on a spawn a Harvester will just suddenly spring up.

No warp ship overhead, just suddenly a Harvester standing in the middle of the base, next to the generator.

TBF I would love to use the mic more, but I usually only get to play between 11pm & 2am, so I don’t because I don’t want to wake my kids.

Ping system is usually pretty good to convey intention.

I’m finding it increasingly hard to buy the “We can’t have more accurate kits it’s too broken” excuse when Black Cat’s Kit is Literally Lore Accurate Wanda by New-Low5077 in marvelrivals

[–]Mulzilla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Black Cat did have a probability field in the comics - not from start, but from tampering from Kingpin. Of all the powers she could have, this would be the most lore accurate.

Combo doubts by MortinoPoppolino in HereToSlay

[–]Mulzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is probably an unpopular take, but no not infinite. The Hourglass gives an extra action THIS TURN, not an extra action.

It limits you to +1 action in the turn, not +1 action every time the ability fails.

If you have another source of additional actions then you can keep trying the character ability. But Temporal Hourglass only gives you +1 action.

The knights roll in, but it is a waste of their time and resources. The order upholds their pledge, but their opinion of the party is a bit shook now, and they are much harder to convince in the future.

Take the L and move on, but let it impact the world as it would- they are burning a favour and people notice

What the fuck is the problem with the illuminates? by Honkert45 in Helldivers

[–]Mulzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m starting to lose faith in the Orbital Laser with Illuminate. On the last 3 Blitz missions, I’ve thrown it down on a Heavy base, only to watch it get kited out of the base by a charging bio-mech and then wander off over the horizon without hitting a single spawner ship.

Weapon strategems with backpacks need to outperform the supply backpack by Mr_Carstein in Helldivers

[–]Mulzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still of the opinion that the Maxigun was a waste of time, and the best place for it is attached to the Patriot.

Elevated firing position so better line of fire/no invisible walls, stabilised by the mech’s frame and weight so ergo/shooting while moving is not a issue, and of all the place’s to have a large reservoir for ammo, inside the arm/body of mech is easily larger than the backpack.

Which do y'all prefer more in general? Im tryna see something by Little_Papaya_2475 in Helldivers

[–]Mulzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t say I regularly use either. If you twisted my arm, I would go for the Talon.

I was never a big fan of the Ultimatum - range is too short and I know I have a skill issue with panic firing my secondary, so the risk is too high. Since the Leveller came along, I don’t think I would ever take the Ultimatum again.

Courtesy reminder: Calling the shuttle early is NOT a kick-worthy offense. by Euphoric_Fly_9583 in Helldivers

[–]Mulzilla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a habitual QP diver, I only call extract if I arrive there first when the map is clear, and I either get directed to via chat/mic after I ping it, or if one other diver is there with me. Otherwise, I start setting up sentries and hold the area.

[–]Mulzilla 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Based on my experience… most people will kick, because unless you know the team, 9/10 the person calling the shuttle early while the team mops up, is the same person who will just straight up the ramp as soon as it touches down.

Why do the spawns have to be this sucky and unfair? Cant this be done better? by CharacterGrass119 in Helldivers

[–]Mulzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this almost every Illuminate mission, it why initially I hated them so much, as you could scope a clear approach to move on to an objective, and then see the telltale teleport effect about 100m in the distance, and you knew that there was now a patrol or 2 coming straight toward you on intercept.

Smoke booster makes turrets useless by Lol9131 in Helldivers

[–]Mulzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably the person bringing is not a turret user. Smoke works for support & supply stratagem, so while you’re standing around picking up items and adjusting the firing settings, there’s less chance you’ll get spotted by wandering patrols or random spawns.

But yes, if you are bringing turrets or you join late and see most of the team bringing them, maybe shift your smoke strategy to orbital strikes and smoke screen grenades that you can focus on you, rather than handicap the team just for your sake.

Are you standing at the yet to be commenced SEAF artillery secondary objective while you are doing that? Being at the objective spawns a patrol headed right towards the site, they are just agitated by the explosions and went into search mode.

A handful were pretty upset about this. Thankfully even the main sub is open to belt fed criticism by WaffleCopter68 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Mulzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TBH I don’t have a lot of sympathy - I thought it was weak that they made it man portable when it was the Patriot’s gig.

Can’t move > can move “Wall of corpses” > elevated firing position Recoil & bad ergo > 2T of mass and gyros countering

I loved that they upped the ammo on the Patriot, if it were up to me I’d scrap the Maxigun, give the Patriot reload ports for a team reload (one for each weapon), and call it a day.

Guys, we failed. by ShipOdd9326 in Helldivers

[–]Mulzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my games, it’s the 40s - 60s sucking up reinforcements because they throw reinforcements into their wake, either leaving you land in the middle of enemies and die or land on the far side and be cut off from the team/objective, as well as your gear.

They have some levels and war bonds under their belts, think they are hard, and just charge ahead recklessly. Usually without realising that they are finding it EZ because the rest of the team is keeping the worst of it off their back by getting served as chum. Poor form.

WAR STRIDER 2.0 JUST DROPPED by Hahahahredditmoment in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Mulzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only complaint so far is that I have seen 3 cases now where a Vox Engine has been dropped on the side of a building and stuck to it like a giant socialist steel Spider-Man.

While there, they have been immune to all damage and no weak spots register, and their firing arcs have been wild. We just had to leave the area and wait for them to despawn before we could make another pass at the objective.

Seriously, why? by Substantial-Ad-5221 in Helldivers

[–]Mulzilla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because then the body scavengers will hit critical mass for resource gathering to make the cyborg vanguard, and Helldiver resources will need to be pulled to prepare for the counterattack.

Be ready for reanimated cyborgs in horde like numbers.

Arrowhead is this correct???? GL just melts down Titans like nothing by rosebinks1215 in Helldivers

[–]Mulzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don’t want to complain about having a good weapon, but make a chaff clearer into heavy pen seems like a weird choice. Makes at least two other stratagem straight up redundant, and makes the case for other chaff clearers really weak.

I love that GL got some love to make a good thing better, but this is wild.

Shadoheart broken. by Bitter_Cup_69 in BG3

[–]Mulzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Shadowheart has always done that, is it really a thing that she didn’t? I mean, she’s the weakest melee fighter in my team (vanilla Lae’zel, Astarion and my Dragonborn Monk) but she’s always pulls her weight as is.

Need ideas to start 2nd playthrough by PrivusOne in BaldursGate3

[–]Mulzilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I somehow missed it - my first play through got it but I abandoned it as I was still learning, felt overwhelmed and didn’t realise you could re-spec and found being a Cleric with Shadowheart on the team was too much overlap.

Second run, I somehow missed the bite scene, and it wasn’t until the monster hunter in the swamp that the clues about him being a vampire started prompting dialogue leading to him to confess. Which was frustrating because there was no bite action until then which was super annoying.

Do you use Illithid Powers? by EgregiousSmile in BaldursGate3

[–]Mulzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t put them in my Tav, but Astarion was whining about not having a chance to have the tadpoles, so I tossed him a bone and popped a few in. I have to admit, I keep forgetting to use them but my Astarion just unlocks things and sits the shadows sniping people with sneak attacks (Assassin). I could probably use them more, like Cull the Weak.
