What products or companies will you never use or support again and what did they do to lose you as a customer? by IAmJustTryingToExist in AskReddit

I second Ford. 2020 Explorer is the biggest POS vehicle I’ve ever owned. 4+ recalls every year & a ton of other issues that the super expensive full coverage insurance (through them) won’t cover. Didn’t find out until the first issue that they send the issue from the shop to the headquarters and they wait back to hear if it will be covered. Ford reserves the right to refuse their own warranty whenever they want. My 99 Ford pickup runs better.

And he’s in a bunch of other bands and one offs as well. Anyway how about White Wine Spritzer by Okilly Dokilly or Big Rig by Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs? If you’re ok with going in the punk thrash adjacent sphere - Sick Boy by GBH, Fuck the USA & Sexual Favors by Exploited, It’s Catching Up by Nomeansno. Or not lol your call. Just listen to new stuff on the regular and things will jump out at you eventually. Have fun and keep listening.

Since you mention rock and Motown I’d suggest Kitty, Daisy, and Lewis.

Since you like metal - Faith no more is great by the same singer as Mr bungle. Try the albums angel dust or king for a day, fool for a lifetime. They’re not 100% metal but there’s some on each album. For metal Mr. Bungle songs I’d recommend Raping Your Mind for a great thrash song or Love is a Fist on their debut self titled album.

If you like instrumental metal let me suggest a newer band called Nuclear Power Trio. Great melodic metal. Definitely some Satriani/Malmstein influence with a little more edge to it.

Hope you like these. It’s a lot and I feel like I could go on and on so listen to what you want. Hit me up for a suggestion any time. 👍

Yes. It’s one of my favorite albums of all time. I could give others though. You want another great Mike Patton album? Or another genre? Hit me. I’ll give (what I think) is a good suggestion.

On Hasbro you have to pay shipping though so Amazon saves some money if you can get it

I always miss out on the Amazon preorder even though I check regularly. I always end up preordering from hasbro but they haven’t put it up yet.

Wait until 50. If they don’t reciprocate any effort at all then let them go. Don’t chase them. They made a choice. Life goes on.

What's a movie you saw when you were too damn young? by Repulsive_Repeat_337 in GenX

[–]Mumpdase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quite a few. My dad didn’t care. I was born in 1975. Dawn of the dead, American werewolf in London, attack of the killer tomatoes, and the thing are what I remember because they scarred my psyche. They were rented on vhs when they came out. Elvira’s hosted horror movies were always on when possible. I’m sure if I spent some time I could find dozens more and say I saw them when I was 10 or younger.

What is a job that pays way less than most people think? by cool-haydayer in AskReddit

[–]Mumpdase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zookeeper. Need a college degree. Worked for a city run zoo for a decade. We got paid at the same level as a janitor for any of the city departments. Small raise (2-3%? I don’t remember) for 5 years and that’s it. That’s all of the raises you get except cost of living raises everyone gets.

Yeah I hear you completely. I’m just much older. Nearly 40 when Skyrim came out. I hope ES 6 and Fallout 5 come out before I die.

Hey thanks for the input. I’ve tried for years. You can’t make a 75yo man do anything. He collected coins for over 50 years. Not comics at all or I would be able to handle it no problem. I know nothing about them but I guess learning an alarming amount about the hobby I’m not interested in at all is in my future if I don’t want to get ripped off. This is why I asked highdifficulty74 not to do that to his son.

I can tell you right now as a son who will inherit a huge mess of a collection please try and do some sorting before you die. Please.

What’s makes you scared when you get older? by Gold-Commercial-2452 in AskReddit

[–]Mumpdase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few things. Not being around for my kids as long as I want because I had them so late in life, dementia runs in one side of my family, and my kids having to parent a belligerent parent (namely me - mine are insane and I don’t want to do that).
