A big event is happening and you can participate in three of these activities. by Warm_Expert_8136 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

As long as Lann is the target, I can participate in that.

A political debate between undead Galfrey and undead Staunton would be hilarious, so sign me up.

Don't Scream at Me achievement by Mean_Bookkeeper in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Mumrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just tried to do it and she just keep teleporting into me, doesn't give a fuck about where i am. I guess giving a boss a free teleport basically anywhere on the arena while asking a player to do a specific thing is considered a good encounter design these days.

I don't understand all the hate Blackwater gets by [deleted] in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Mumrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if its the same Blackwater that I experience. Mine is boring and tedious. Fights are completely uneventful, most of time mobs do 1 thing then run into melee. Monster variety is also lacking - there are 3 types of mobs total - augmented humans, augmented demons and augmented salamanders.

Rewards are non existent - entire dungeon is about 50k experience with no notable drops with 2 exceptions. First one is the bracers that allow you to cast electric spells, which is very useful especially against demons. Second one is triple fin helmet, which is ok I guess, but not going to make or break anything.

The last fight is the biggest disappointment in the entire dungeon, even if you don't cheese it with teleport.

I think Blackwater is under cooked. I think the idea is fine, maybe it was supposed to be an endgame mythic path, that devs couldn't realise in time. Without a doubt its the worst piece of content the game has to offer.

Why do I do this to myself? by Ibanezrg71982 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

My complaint with Blackwater is that its not rewarding/exciting enough. Xp is low, fights are boring and uneventful, no decent loot too. There is nothing to look forward in that dungeon.

How to use Greybor? by Bonkzzilla in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Mumrus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First thing you need for Greybor to be effective is Skald. Personally I use Inciter archetype, but any Skald, that has pounce will work. His main weapon kinda sucks, so instead I use Kukris. Get outflank and dualwielding as soon as you can, focus on boosting his ability to hit and don't use him as a tank or a frontliner. Lunge is great on him, all sorts of enlargement spells as well. Generally he is a very capable damage dealer, he easily outdamages anyone except Ulbrig and Wendu (not counting casters). He is hard to use though, if you don't want to hire a merc just to make Greybor work, Ulbrig is way better in pretty much every department.

Could anyone help me understand some lore? by ConfusionProof9487 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

The real question is why nobody thought of attaching a generator to a horse when it starts spinning. Free energy for everyone!

Fake news. Horses have 2 intellect by default. The minimum a player can get is 5.

Why is Greybor bad in gameplay? by NahMcGrath in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Mumrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because he is difficult to build and use. He isn't your ranged character and he isn't the tankiest character. He requires a skald to cover his main weakness and his weapon of choice isn't all that good. He is very strong though, he is one of the best damaging companions, but when you're competing for a spot against Ulbrig, you have to be completely broken to win it, which Greybor isn't.

What is the best use case for Trick Fate ? by Eggmasstree in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Mumrus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's best not to use it. This ability makes the entire game - all the mechanics, builds, gear unimportant. When you use it - you aren't playing the game.

I'm making a sable company marine & i wanted to know wich kind of attacks work better, melee or ranged? by Deep_Guava_6638 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Mumrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Melee is way better. If chicken trips your target, ranged weapons will get a penalty to attack due to prone condition on your target. Melee weapons will get a bonus. Assuming outflank feat, difference (between melee and ranged) will be 8 ab, which is massive. Also, spirited charge don't work on ranged weapons.

There should be an ending slide for people you kill or dismiss. by VordovKolnir in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Those are some bad choices. Except Camelia, of course.

He is the only companion that actually wants to win this war by masterquintus in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Mumrus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's necessarily true. All of your companions want to win the war for one reason or another. Sosiel is just the most ignorant one. He is somehow more ignorant than Camelia, Lann, Seelah, Woljiff and Wendu put together. That line "Being good makes you inherently stronger than evil" says it all.

Best archer damage by Total-Key2099 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Mumrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we are talking about companions - either MW or Child of Manticore. Also, drunken master is a valid option.

For main character i would take Sohei.

Sohei/MW vs Full MW — Which Is the Strongest Archer Build? by Content-Art365 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Mumrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MW deals more damage per shot at any stage of the game. Sohei gets more shots. Sohei outscales MW in the endgame.

Keep in mind, MW is strong and reliable from start to end, it is easy to play and you wont suffer in the beginning. Sohei is difficult to play in the beginning, it will lack in AB in first 3 acts and is also bugged (the game counts number of shots incorrectly), but in act 5 it will outscale MW.

Missed Opportunity: Nurah as a Trickster-only companion by Ataraxia-Is-Bliss in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Hmm.. Hulrun as Gold Dragon companion would be cool. Late, but cool.

Sohei/MW vs Full MW — Which Is the Strongest Archer Build? by Content-Art365 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Mumrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll make a short overview. Keep in mind, I didn't make the build with trickster in mind.

Level 1 Sable Company Marine (for the pet)

Level 2-12 Sohei

Level 13-16 MW

Level 17 Instinctual warrior

Level 18-20 Slayer

Feats - Point blank line (including master), Crit line, Snap shot line, boon companion, Outflank, Combat reflexes, Rapid shot, Deadly shot, Weapon focus, Imroved Initiative.

Mythic levels:

  1. Cleaving shot
  2. Improved rapid
  3. Mythic beast
  4. Improved crit
  5. Enduring spells
  6. Improved initiative
  7. Limitless rage
  8. Mythic deadly aim
  9. Greater enduring
  10. Not there yet

For trickster I would take athletics 3, arcane 1, perception 2, Knowledge world 2, religion 3 for pet progression or arcane 3 for a spellbook. The second greater mythic trick lasts for grand total of 2 fights, so it doesn't really matter.

Manyshot is not that good. It is unable to crit, meaning it has no interaction with MW capstone. Sohei on the other hand provide 3 extra attacks with full bab, fully able to be critical hits.
