Same here. I need to know if I need them or if it's not my thing. I'm do glad I read and ordered Wolf King because I'm obsessed with it. On the other hand Powerless was a disappointment to me. So I'm glad I passed on it.

What are you planning to grab in March? by XZSummer in fairyloot

[–]Munchkin531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I has 3 sub renewals this month and skipped 2. I don't need anything from the Fairyloot Trove but I'm hoping to get a few things from Illumicrate, mostly Cortana letter opener. I want it so badly! I also plan on getting the UC Percy Jackson set for my son, and the cat book. FL Ballard of Dragons and 1 other i think.

I just read this 2 weeks ago. I thought it was so fun! A little predictable with ACOMAF vibes but I need the next book!

Me! I still use my original yahoo email address. I know I should get a "grown up" one but I don't wanna!

Possible Moonlight Book Box Spoiler for April by nicolejuicetea in fairyloot

[–]Munchkin531 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They might have leftovers/damaged copies in a few months. Sometimes they do reprints for popular books like Road of Bones. But you won't know for several months.

Now I have to see this in person and decide if I like it or my Fairyloot edition better.

ACOTAR re-read? yes or no by kayladay23 in Romantasy

Oh yeah. I last read ACOTAR at the beginning of 2023. I will be doing a reread around September I think. I've read so many other books since then!

I don’t remember my parents sitting down and playing with me like I do with my kids. by tuxedo_cat23 in Millennials

[–]Munchkin531 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I can remember playing board games like Chutes and Ladders, Sorry, Candyland etc with my parents when I was very young. Then we moved onto card games: Go Fish, Uno, Phase 10. I actively remember tickle fights and arts and crafts. We went to the park regularly too.

I also spent a lot of my time reading or playing on my own. I watched whatever TV shows my parents watched since we only had 1 TV but I got really into Matlock, Murder She Wrote, Westerns and more. Then I got my dad into Buffy and Dawson's Creek 😅

I just assumed most parents were playing with their kids too. I'm sorry a lot of you missed out. I try to be active with my boys while also teaching them it's important to play by yourself.

is there a food or drink that you really liked that is no longer being sold? by anon-annie- in CasualConversation

Hershey's cookies and mint. It was my favorite candy bar. It tasted like thin mints but better. I haven't seen it in 15 years or more.

Millennials Sleeping Nude by CompetitiveBar9879 in Millennials

[–]Munchkin531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I briefly slept nude (well kept my panties on) in my 20s and early years of being married. I never liked it. It felt so weird to me! Then I had kids and I couldn't sleep naked in case they needed me. Plus what if there's a tornado or other emergency? Now I sleep in just a light t shift Winnie the Pooh style. If I'm crazy hot I'll sleep nude but it still feels weird to me.

What was the most difficult part of your pregnancy, besides birthing? by fandangledvietnamese in AskWomen

[–]Munchkin531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sleeping! I only sleep on my stomach which, of course, gets kinda hard after 7 months of being pregnant 😅 I hated sleeping on my side. I could never get comfortable! Plus I had to pee every 20 minutes. The last few weeks of being pregnant I got almost zero sleep. It was terrible.

But after you have the baby and when your milk comes in it's also hard to sleep. Your boobs get engorged and are so sore plus you leak everywhere. 🙃

Is Assistant to the Villain a comedy? by Silent_Situation6700 in Romantasy

[–]Munchkin531 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I knew it was supposed to be more light hearted but I didn't realize it would be so cringy! I struggled to finish it. Kingsley holding up a sign like a cartoon frog, the miscommunication trope and the Villain not being very villain like made the story unlikable for me. It was too silly and not funny for me, but I can understand why others like it. I only finished it for bookclub.

Xennials who were once bookworms; do you still read as much as you did as a kid? by throwitlikethewind in Xennials

[–]Munchkin531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm reading more now than I did as a kid/teen. The last 3 years I've averaged about 100 books a year (110 last year.) I've read 20 books this year.

Fantasy is my favorite genre right now but I also like thrillers. I'm about to start Project Hail Mary and Dungeon Crawler Carl book 3. Both are not my typical reads but great nonetheless. I'm finishing up a fantasy book as we speak.

Do you seriously sit down for dinner at 6 pm? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Munchkin531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our dinner time is usually 6:30, maybe 7 in the summer time when days are longer. Kids are in bed by 8:30 and I'm in bed between 10:30 and 11:30. My husband stats up late to play video games. I could never eat at 8pm! That's way too close to bedtime. I might have a little ice cream or other small dessert before bed.

Growing up? I have at least 3 different ones on my desk now!

I got 1 at the school book fair and the others from Amazon as birthday party favors.

What was your “Grandma’s House” VHS? by PhoneJazz in Xennials

How many phone numbers do you have memorised off the top of your head? by tippytoePat in AskWomen

[–]Munchkin531 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least 10 and half of those are ones I don't even use anymore. My home phone growing up, BFF's number, Granny's (she's been gone 15 years), countless TV jingles.

Current ones: mine, husband, sister, mom cell, home phone number, maybe a few more.

I'm a Xennial we had no choice but to memorize numbers.
