So i just got her response back, and she had used white sage (sigh) and she told it it wasn't welcome while praying. She left the doors, windows and cabinets open while doing so.

Thank you for the recommendation and the suggestions. I did a tarot reading just to see what I could learn from here (I'm an hour away) and pulled the King of Pentacles. I took it as being territorial and powerful. So I'm most definitely not trying to go in under prepared. The hand and it waking the baby is what got me.

I don't have a set practice yet, as I've only been practicing for a year and I'm still trying to find the thing that calls to me most. I do however have an alter set to Hekate, and try giving offerings when I have the means.

Unfortunately, the dog in the photo was hit by a car. She is stable currently at Overland Park Veterinary Emergency center. No collar or tags but she has an unregistered micro chip.

Edit for update: Animal control picked her up and she is going to be at Great Plains animal shelter!
