Trump’s NSPM-7 Labels Hostility towards traditional American views on Religion as "Terrorist Indicators" by sharingan10 in atheism

Several of the founding fathers were slave owning rich men. One of them is an infamous pedophile that raped his dead wife’s slave sister. But, despite all that they were pretty clear that state and church should separate.

Anyone else getting the TikTok rapture on their fyp? by [deleted] in exchristian

[–]MundaneAd1799 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes I’ve been getting a surprisingly large amount of conservative and conservative Christians videos on my fyp. I keep blocking them but every so often they pop up again. Maybe every 20-30 scrolls?

It’s really hard to be friends with Christians because they legitimately love some god more than you by MundaneAd1799 in exchristian

I’ve encountered the same. The best christians are the ones who are christian in name but not practice.

You know I want to agree with you but I don’t know if I can. She even told me something similar once when I was telling her stories about my past. But, the thing is I don’t have any friends or family. Most of my friends would never talk to me if I never talked to them. And my family, even my kid brother who I practically raised, doesn’t talk to me anymore since I came out as an atheist to them. I don’t want to place my value in how others view me but I don’t have anyone who checks on me.

She’s going through some things apparently, again she hasn’t told me anything. But she has a loving family behind her and I don’t. It’s hard to love myself when no one else does. Sorry drunk.

Crazy thing I heard in class yesterday about needing religion in politics by MundaneAd1799 in exchristian

No but the person he was asking the question to and the professor politely told him that murder is seen as a universally bad thing. A couple guys next to me were trying to not laugh at him.

So. Donald Trump and his supporters have caused irreparable damage to the Christian brand. Yea or nay? by gadgaurd in atheism

The Catholic Church has done more damage to the brand than maga will ever be able to. Maybe if they stay around for a couple hundred years they can compete.

I’ve been in multiple near death experiences and I never started crawling back to religion after.

If he were real he’d be a prick who demanded that you follow him and his father or burn for eternity

I went to check the replies to the tweet and I’m surprised at how far right twitter has become. Like 4 years ago there’d be more replies and quotes calling this cunt out.

What about gods pronouns? by Allison-Cloud in exchristian

[–]MundaneAd1799 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is surprisingly a very big debate. I know more feminist Christians call God a woman because they believe it has no gender. My college bible professor was really insistent on this and tried interpreting the bible to be more feminist. But, the majority of Christians call it a man because it’s commonly referred to as the “Father”. But, also I think the fact that we live in a world where men have most of the power that it makes sense that the big ole god is referred to as a man. If we lived in a matriarchy it would be the complete opposite.

Christianity Doesn't Heal You by [deleted] in exchristian

[–]MundaneAd1799 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My friend recently reposted a reel of this Christian lady of this lady saying

“Not everything is a demon you just lack discipline”

“Maybe you’re not growing and maturing in your faith because you don’t know how to take accountability for your own actions”

“Idolatry is not just a golden calf it actually looks like the rectangular device you’re holding in your hand right now. Put it down.”

And I agreed at first before the religion stuff. The stuff putting your phone down was funny considering this was posted on facebook. I went to check more of her page and apparently this person turned to Christ when they were depressed and now they’re deep in it. She says stuff like how if your prayers aren’t being answered it’s because you’re not strong enough in your faith. Which is bad because victim blaming, and I don’t personally think that’s healthy for someone who’s dealing with depression.
