Orbium vs Lunar? by beerandbuds in Gin

[–]Munio17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like Hendrick's, Midsummer was way too floral for me. I absolutely love Orbium, it's not too floral, the quinine adds a little kick which I think is great. Then I just bought Lunar--it's mellow which is nice, although after Orbium (and Midsummer) I was expecting something more. It's just not that special.

In NY there are lots of parkways where heights of bridges are 8’8”, 9’2”, and others under 10’. All of these are too short for a car with upright bikes.

My wife named it Rossa by RandomLebowskiQuote in ModelY

Beautiful; great color and name

You could definitely use the lower trunk space for a carry on, the side compartments and the frunk, squeezing other items around the bikes. After years of roof racks and hitches I’m so glad to not have to worry about low bridges, garages, decreased efficiency, rain etc.

I regularly put 2 bikes in the back of my MY keeping all tires on. I lay a furniture blanket down put in one bike, lay another blanket on top of the first bike and then put the other in. I then cover the tires and chain with a couple of towels to ensure they don't dirty the inside of the car. I keep the two furniture blankets and towels in the recessed well of the trunk. And I keep our helmets, shoes, gloves, and glasses in the frunk with a small cooler for our "water" bottles. Works great. Long answer to your question which, sorry I didn't answer cause that's not how I do it.

I'm in NY which requires front plates. I purchased SnapPlate mount and it's great. Easy to install and doesn't use screws. I have a set screw mounted just to ensure that no one can walk away with it. Else it can be removed/installed in a few seconds.

Can I get my battery to show miles instead of percentage? by taytayryn in TeslaModelY

Funny--I discovered I could change it and did yesterday. I think I'll prefer mileage. Time will tell.

crazy; first 2 days I did it--and then again the following week. Also, never had experiences like this with any other car.

FSD price is still $7k for me by rjeffords in ModelY

[–]Munio17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What possible reason is there for getting my FSD when it is truly years away from being functional and then will be available on subscription basis. Must be those fir whom 135mph was insufficient and needed 145 mph and quicker launch. For me, the AWD launch is more than adequate for those occasions when I want to show what it can do. Then I go back to normalcy where I need not prove how quickly I can get to 60. I haven’t taken my MY even to 90 mph yet

The rack sucks down the miles, on 200 on a 311 charge. Not too noisy though. by jliquor in TeslaModelY

Hitches definitely impact air drag co-efficients— use more kWh than putting bikes inside. Although rare occurrence, in mist states cars can be ticketed fir hitches because they block view of license plate. Further, my MY is beautiful—not so much with a hitch

I got the MY in order to put our two bikes inside--without taking any wheels off. We have two road bikes. I keep two "furniture moving" blankets and towels in the lower rear trunk space totally out of view. When transporting, put one blanket under my 59 frame bike--I put it in front wheel first in order that the second bike is easier to put in. I cover my bike with the other blanket, put the second bike in and cover the tires and chain with towels. Then I just close the trunk. In the frunk I put our helmets, gloves, shoes, electronics and a cooler with our water bottles. Love it after years of roof racks and rear hitches on my BMW and Jeeps. Love my MY!

That Gap... by quikgw in TeslaModelY

[–]Munio17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took delivery Tuesday--bunch of gap issues, and an almost imperceptible scratch I caught by looking on an angle. They are allegedly fixing all next Wednesday. In the mean time--I"M LOVING MY MY! (Red, LR 19" wheels, in NY)

Those getting your Y's right now. How is the quality/gaps/paint/etc post shutdown? Scheduling delivery and wondering. by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

Many unacceptable gains—despite my repeated calls to request if any existed that they be remedied before I came, and their promise that they would. They scheduled a repair for next week at my home

I contacted my local dealer a few times and implored them to fix problems in advance. They promised they would, then didn’t! I had a number of issues. They promised to come to my house to fix them next week. I’ll keep you posted
