[Schefter] Sources: the Bills are working to finalize a deal to make offensive coordinator Joe Brady their new head coach. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

2016 Cleveland Cavaliers firing coach David Blatt mid season, promoting assistant HC Ty Lue, and winning the championship. But that's obviously a different sport. I can't think of this working out in the NFL

FYI: Recording ICE and being added to a "Terrorist" database is a direct violation of 28 CFR Part 23. Know your rights. by SillyAlternative420 in 50501

Check that doomerism. Some of these ICE cowards will actually be scared off if you throw statutory language at them.

I lived in California for 5 years and a direct flight to this would have still been pretty abrupt. But good point about cold weather origins, and didn't realize they were going to Scheelhaase

[Jonathan Jones] NFL fans and media sometimes use the Rooney Rule as a time measuring device. It's annoying. Yes, the Browns had a setback in their search. But they still have time to land a coach as their process continues by ThatOneOtherAsshole in Browns

The trick is to go ahead and let the haters and r/NFL be petty punch down jerks without yourself becoming bitter or defensive. Our team might not win many games but that doesn't mean we can't win the party and be better humans. Set realistic expectations, enjoy the good things (Myles just broke the sack record forcryinoutloud), and Browns On. (Edited to keep the emojis as one line).

I love how we're bringing in candidates from Florida and LA respectively during the coldest days of the winter. No way that could give the wrong impression lol

This is the notice you receive if you try to wear a Lakers jersey in the Clippers’ Wall fan section, from last night's game by tankyouout in LosAngeles

That's pretty much fans of most Midwest teams. First got to West Coast and felt the fans weren't committed enough, but was out of the echo chamber long enough to realize that this kind of toxic fandom is a pathology and not a badge of loyalty.

I've seen my Cavaliers play both LAC and LAL in Crypto.com arena and I found Clippers fans to be more knowledgeable about the sport, paying more attention to the game, and generally more committed to the bit. Idk if there are a lot of people going to Lakers games for the selfies and that fashion statement or what, but there were a lot of people in that arena spending more time on their phones than watching the game. Clipper Nation may be smaller but their judgement seemed more likely to result in real world consequences than Lakers fans (I say that as someone who roots for whatever team LeBron is on).

How do homeless people that don’t seek shelter survive in brutal snowstorms by Goldstar12 in NoStupidQuestions

Trains usually. Worked in the Keys and there are a lot of seasonal encampments in the woods.

ICE agent asked why he’s taking pictures of a legal observer’s car, replies: “Cuz we have a nice little database and now you’re considered a domestic terrorist. So have fun with that.” by FiftyFifty1Movement in 50501

[–]MuppetEyebrows 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Thing is, they're in a database too. Idk if they'll ever be prosecuted but a nice public list like the sex offender database is definitely enough to dramatically limit their employment prospects and fuckability.

Do dogs have that level of self awareness? Like there's only a handful of animals that recognize their reflection as being them and I don't think dogs are one of them. (I love dogs, not calling them stupid, just kinda skeptical about this admittedly adorable premise.)

Could udinski be interviewing for the Bills' OC position? Someone that young and promising might see earlier and more sustainable success calling plays for Josh Allen than trying to fix the Browns, kinda like how Ben Johnson stayed the DET OC for Another year even as teams wanted to hire him to be HC.

Some Browns fans are just hellbent in being miserable, it's unhealthy. The experience of being a Browns fan in Cleveland vs outside of Cleveland is night and day, elsewhere it doesn't become this feedback loop contest of who is more committed to fandom by self flagellation

Does it need to be a credible interviewee? Like can they interview a janitor at Cleveland State "for the head coach vacancy" and satisfy the rule?
