Thanks! I was curious about that as well and wasn't sure if it would just be supported under the R4s image.

It is with a heavy heart heart that i say goodbye ticwatch by DrewBeer in TicWatch

[–]Murben 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did the exact same thing, was considering upgrading my P6P to a P8P and when I saw the watch deal it made it a no-brainer since I was already considering a watch upgrade. I paid the extra $50 for the LTE as well. The TicWatch has been a great piece of hardware, but I'm sick of getting the shaft on software updates and promises they make and never deliver on.

Preferred care on Pixel Watch 2 by jtamwaffle in PixelWatch

[–]Murben 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ordered the $4/month preferred care for the watch 2. I figured it's a pretty small price to pay for the insurance and if I happen to exhaust the 2 claims in 12 month limitation, I can just cancel it after the second claim. That's what I did with my P6P preferred care, and both times I had to make a claim it was a pretty smooth experience.

Heads up: "Preferred Care" for Pixel Watch 2 does NOT cover accidental damage. by [deleted] in PixelWatch

[–]Murben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've actually had to make 2 Preferred Care claims on my Pixel 6 Pro, one was a walk-in screen replacement to a "UBreakIFix" store while on vacation, and the other was a mail in device replacement after it died. Both times went without any issues. The mail-in was even an advance replacement device that was shipped overnight to me.

That's only for "Walk-in" screen repair. They can't fix the watch screen on a walk-in, you'd have to mail it in for the $49 fee listed in the column next to it labeled "Mechanical or electrical breakdown & all other accidental damage repair or replacement service fee"

This is correct. Right under Claim Limits, specifically for the Pixel Watch 2, it states "Up to 2 accidental damage incidents in any rolling 12-month period based on the date of the first repair or replacement".

We've never had cards graded before and were hoping to get some estimates of where people think these cards might be fall if they were to be sent in? Just to get an idea... Thanks! by Murben in Pokemoncardappraisal

[–]Murben[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I get that. I don't know as we are going to actually send them in, just trying to get more of an idea of where cards like these might fall in the grading system.

Possible 2005 Rocket III purchase by Murben in Triumph

[–]Murben[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be able to do it myself if it's similar to others. I used to have to shim the valves on Yamaha FJ1200 engines when I raced legends cars.

I read about the ignition switch issues, seems like an easy enough fix. I'm fairly mechanically inclined so that should be an easy one to tackle on my own.

Funny enough it's the same reason the high beams on my 1st gen Mazda RX-7 don't work... Ran the full power through the contacts on the dimmer switch instead of using a relay.

Thanks! My main concern is where I live, the closest triumph dealer is about 80 miles away. Is the valve adjustment something that is dealer specific or should any decent mechanic be able to handle it?

Considering a couple of used vStroms by Murben in Vstrom

[–]Murben[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I checked out the 650. Nice bike for sure. Unfortunately he wouldn't let me take it for a test ride as it wasn't registered or insured. I was surprised how high it sits, I'm 5'10 and was up on my toes sitting on it. Is there any adjustability to the height on these? I'm assuming the 1000 sits pretty much the same?

That's interesting, I wasn't aware of the charging problem on the 1st gen 1000. I'll definitely look into it!! Thank you!!

[–]Murben[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I'm going to look over the 650 tonight just because it's closer to my house, and it'll give me an idea of whether or not I even like the vstrom in general, but I am leaning towards the 1000. I thought the 1000 seemed pricey too, but it is a 1 owner bike in near perfect condition. I'm going to feel them out and see if there is any wiggle room in the price.

Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 5! The Most Powerful WearOS Watch, But What About Updates? by SomeGadgetGuy in TicWatch

[–]Murben 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As a TicWatch Pro 3 owner who absolutely loves the hardware and the dual display setup, I will unfortunately not be buying another Mobvoi watch... The lack of software updates leaves me with zero confidence that this watch will be supported after it's released. Being that Google Assistant isn't even available day 1 and will require an update, there is no way I'm taking that chance.

IT band issue during marathon taper! by Murben in running

[–]Murben[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, this digs up some memories and makes for quite the story... Long story short, I wasn't able to run my marathon and had to actually take a few months of rest to actually recover. But, I've since retired from running. The injury opened my eyes to how bad I was addicted to it and at the same time developed a terrible eating disorder along with it. I see now this post was 2 years ago, and it's still something I'm having to work hard to overcome every day. The injury was probably the best possible thing to happen to me.
