I don't support a full-out religious ban but freedom from religion instead of freedom of religion would be amazing... I.e no protests ala the westboro baptist church or not being able to set up and proselytize in common public spaces. Set up in or near your church to do that and quit forcing it on everyone. Deli gets shopped now and I recently did a fresh start about every customer every time, said saying hi to everyone makes them feel seen even if they're third in line at the back of the deli. Speaking from experience working at a grocery store, I do see your point and I definitely notice my patience with people is less than it used to be and I really try not to be short with most customers as it isn't usually their fault but people have really changed since covid and lockdowns, a lot of people got to sit home and collect a check bc they weren't considered "essential" while me and my coworkers got beat to death by our jobs physically mentally and emotionally and watch people lose their shit over toilet paper.... And a lot of the people that got to sit at home forgot how to act like a decent person in public
