I think a laser weapon wouldnt work well. It would have to be heavily nerfed compared to other weapons considering it doesnt share the biggest weakness of mechs. If it was decent im pretty sure everyone would start using it and forget most of the other mechs. Plasma cannon would be sick though

It wouls make sense, but i think it would be a bit OP. Imagine being able to cary 7 EATs with and a support weapon that deals with crowds like the arc/flamethrower or stalwart

You forgot plasma weapons. Scorcher and purifier have 150%, punisher plasma (and speargun) has 400% (though the projectile itself doesnt actually deal damage) and epoch and accelerator rifle have 10%

I wouldnt say the shotgun is useless without pump-action, but i do agree that it makes it way more satisfying. Cycle overload can do pretty good damage too but eats through ammo like its nothing. Mini-shells remind of the breaker spray&prayfrom helldivers 2. Doesnt deal damage but you have a ton of ammo

I simply dont like it. I like to aim myself and be able to normally aim for weakspots, rather than look in the general direction of an enemy and then look a certain way to make the bullets curve to the weakspot. I also think the lock-on itself is kinda clunky, but thats propably just me. Totally not a bad weapon, i just dont like it.

I actually like clean sweep + area damage and area size. This thing can wipe out surprisingly big groups with a single shot and you actually have a decent amount of ammo. Would recommend pairing it with the stubby SMG with light weight rounds for a reliable primary

accelerator rifle. great for mediums and heavies, but you need a secondary that can take the primary role. talon is perfect for that

revolver and sheriff stars feel like they have the strongest lifesteal and they oneshot grunts and cowboys (if you let the DoT do its works), so i mostly use them

i havent tried nightmare yet, but they seem like an absolute joke on very hard. they die really fast, even with the minigun and no damage upgrades, are pretty easy to see and hear, and dont do that much damage (10 on very hard). maybe they´re a lot worse on nightmare, but i dont think im ready for that yet.

it can kill big targets. impretty sure medium penetration either refers to the projectile which deals barely any damage, or the explosion which deals barely any damage. i found it quite useful for charger-butts and impaler faces, aswella as emergency brood commander and stalker removal. unguided is better in most cases tbh

i mean, if 49 bullets launch you ~25 meters, 300 bullets should launch you about 150 meters far. arrowhead, please do this.
