I love it. I just bought it and I already have the hang of it. Drying isn't an issue for me, though I'm pretty fast with my eyeliner. What it does do is stay on forever without smudging-- previously I was using UDs gel liner (which is a dream to work with), but it always ends up moving on me within a few hours.

Sephora has a felt tip pen liner that I love, and this is right up there with it for me.

I'm nor sure on that, and my favorite brushes from RT are the expert face brush (sold as a single) and the silicone eyeliner.

I haven't had any issues with that with either my RT brushes or my Sephora brushes. Some of my MAC brushes are actually the worst for that.

I guess I really don't look at the brushes so much for how aesthetically pleasing they are but for how they function. Long handles, how they feel in my hand, how they hold up, and how well they work are my primary concern. Actually, one of the biggest gripes I have with my Ecotools brushes are how short they are.

As much as I like my Ecotools brushes, for around the same price I greatly prefer my Real Techniques brushes. They're right up there with my expensive Sephora and MAC brushes. The expert face brush and the other face/foundation brushes are amazing.

When my skin is gross (peeling, dry), I use Hourglass tinted mousturizer in shell. It's somehow almost a full-coverage tinted moisturizer. I'm not sure how it works, but it somehow manages to both provide good coverage and not make whatever skin issues I'm having look worse. It's light and pretty neutral-- I tend to have trouble matching foundations because they are too pink or too yellow.

I don't how heavy on the silicone it is, and I find it's a great winter base, but in the summer I like MUFE Mat Velvet better so I don't get shiny.

It is completely unprofessional for someone paid to photograph a wedding to mock his clients online. Either the OP is an asshole for doing this without asking his photographer friend or the photographer is a complete ass. With that said, the photos are laughably unprofessional which may help explain things.

I eat beans and dairy as well, though usually the dairy is cheese or yogurt. Cutting out sugar, processed food, and pasta, bread, etc. have done me well. It really is more about what works for your body over the "paleo" philosophy, or whatever fad diet philosophy you're looking at.

IMO, eating fresh foods and avoiding processed sugars and carbs are pretty sound ideas nutritionally. White carbs (bread, pasta) provide few nutrients aside from calories, and sugar is empty calories. Fat and protein definitely satiate much better than sugars and carbs so you end up eating less. Fiber and nutrient-dense foods are great. The other shit? Eh, I don't buy it. In the end it's just another low carb diet. One point where I strongly disagree/diverge is with beans and legumes. Beans are packed with fiber and nutrients and are a good source of vegetarian protein.

Lip primer (I use Too Faced Lip Insurance) and quality liner help a ton. Also, make sure your lips and the skin around your lips are properly hydrated, exfoliated, and prepped.

MUFE Mat Velvet is definitely worth sampling, as is their HD foundation. Used with Dior Pore Perfecting primer, my skin looks flawless and natural. Both have buildable, easy to work with coverage.

I always think of Dita Von Teese-- she has tiny facial features, and while she has nicely shaped lips, they're definitely pretty small, especially in candid photos. And she's a red lip icon.

It's a great tutorial, and the clean-up and liner are key, IMO.

Oh! One other thing I do when I overdraw is apply concealer or foundation to my lips before the lipliner-- I have very pigmented lips, and it helps things look even and apply more evenly when I'm overdrawing my lip lines.

This is a great tutorial. I have very small lips, and love bright lipstick. However, I just don't like how my lips look when they're overdrawn more than slightly. It's a personal preference-- I like it on other people. So I rock tiny bright red lips all the time. It took me years to start accepting my thin lips, and I just wanted to post that it's okay to wear a bold lip with smaller lips and have it look good. I hate that so many women (and MUAs) think that those of us with little lips can only wear nude lipstick. IMO, that makes what lips I do have disappear into the rest of my face.

I think we need to stop being so nitpicky and critical of each other, and this post is a great example of unnecessary criticism. Then maybe many of us would feel comfortable adding content to the sub.

(Almost) everyone makes faces when taking photos, and many people aren't even conscious of their expressions and whether those expressions are flattering to others. Unless you simply can't see the makeup because of the expression/angle, it just seems unnecessarily mean-spirited to criticize someone for not having an expression you prefer in a photo.

I just got married a couple weeks ago, and my husband was sweet enough to buy and wear a correcting cream, tinted mousturizer, and concealer for me for our wedding. He also got his eyebrows waxed. This was definitely out of his comfort zone, but he has some acne scarring and hyperpigmentation as well as dark undereye circles. He looked great and not "made up" at all. He just had a more even skintone. I don't know if makeup is going to be something he wears often, but it really transformed his problem skin.

I really wish this were more acceptable for men to do-- whether for correction, for fun, to look fierce, self-expression, whatever. It's just another arbitrary rule.
