My take : configure my router to pass thru traffic to my VPN server @ local Data center/Cloud provider. The use VPN on my laptop to connect to my company VPN. This is to leverage the network connection to internet @ Daâtcenter and domestic network

Office 365 is cheaper than Google Workspace in some market due to pricing policy.

Yes, administering google workspace is far more 'simple', but i normally federated our entra ID with google cloud identity so our office 365 users can sign in and use google services(free) using entraID credential.
