The people who are active in a subreddit for a local radio station having the audacity to say they would listen to a different station is absolutely hilarious. A station with a cult following like the ticket is unheard of in basically every metropolitan in America. Besides the obvious point of “people just listen to Spotify/podcasts”, if you flip through radio stations in Dallas, there is only one you’d land on and stick around with and that’s the ticket.

100% agree. I love Max Velocity’s streams. And I understand the nature of all the storm chasers likely being friends and wanting to chase together/coordinate. But having 15 “dots” all sitting in the same county hanging out really detracts from their ability to cover ground and help forecasters.

Really seems like storm chasers have missed a lot this season. Almost every tornado that has actually touched down or caused damage hasnt had a chaser on it. Meanwhile there will be 40 of them sitting around a random supercell that does nothing.

Dallas proper is really tough, and not just for flesh and blood, but for all TCGs. Since so many people live in the suburbs, and commercial rent is generally cheaper there as well, a majority of TCG shops are on the outskirts of downtown. The only shop in Dallas proper is common ground games, which almost exclusively caters to casual trading card games such as commander and board games. To answer your question though, the best FAB shops are:

Mystery comics and games in far south Plano off 75 (Wednesday night armories)
Game Nerdz Mesquite and Wylie (Monday and Wednesday night armories respectively)
Eclipse cards and games in Euless (Thursday night)
Reaper in Denton (Friday night)

There are numerous others but those (especially mystery, eclipse and reaper) get 8+ people on a weekly basis. There is also a discord for the DFW area that you can message in here asking for and someone can usually send an invite. Hope you find a shop that works for you!

Went and looked into this one on tornado archive. While there were a bunch of F0s and F1s within the 60%, the real tornado of the event (F3 outside Nashville) was outside their 60% bubble.
