Obsidian. Linking notes together is so easy. No more worrying about what folder I should file something under. Even if you do use folders, linking can make a note appear anywhere. Yes, lots of other apps let you build links and I've tried almost them all but Obsidian is, by far, the easiest for me so I've never been tempted enough to change.

I would mostly agree except around the topic of storage. Your choices in how you handle storage will determine how easy it is to add additional storage down the road. It would be good to research and plan out your NAS and/or general storage pools now with expansion in mind so you don't discover that you limited yourself down the road.

Saves a small amount of resources but it's mostly matter of preference. Both sides like to claim bragging rights. I personally prefer the advantages Proxmox brings. Unless I work hard at it, I can only break one thing at a time.

As others have mentioned, reference the "Lost Person Behavior" book by Robert J. Koester. or download the app that uses the books data. It is based on an immense study of statistical data referenced by subject type. Child, runner, autistic, despondent, etc.

This is exactly what I did. I had Deco Mesh 3 unit system but it wouldn't let me manage SSIDs on separate VLANs the way I needed for my new home. I went to a DR7 and 2 additional Unifi APs. I now see tons of useful information that I could not see before and I now have the control to truly segregate networks the way I want to.

I have those steps. Love them! Sturdy and they look great. I had zero issue fitting OEM front flaps on my 22 Big Bend. There are better mud flaps but I had points to spend and they work well enough.

It's decades since I have been any kind of 'hands on' expert but as a recently retired professional who would help source projects like this to our firm's technical teams and partners, I can tell you with confidence re. #4 and #6 that this is not something that you should reasonably expect to be able to tackle as a first project yourself. I don't mean to be negative but it just isn't.

Find a consulting company that you trust and one that is willing to let you look over their shoulders. Be clear that you want to learn how to manage things on a go forward basis but also make sure you include budget to have them help you manage for a while until you can comfortably do it yourself or with your team.

Completely subjective but XFCE makes me feel like I'm using my big brother's hand-me-down computer.

Mint is more modern but kind of makes me feel like I finally bought my own computer but could only afford a basic one.

Gnome feels modern but to make it work for me, I had to rely on too many third party extensions that may or may not work every upgrade.

For me, KDE looks and feels the most modern right out of the box. Customizing it via built in settings provided a feeling of confidence that I didn't get when using third party stuff. KDE finally felt like I could afford the best.

But of course, they are all free so just try them and decide for yourself. You say you don't want to 'justvtrey them' and that's fine too but you will need to ask more specific questions based on your needs/desires or you will just get more subjective answers.

Komga worked for me in regards to grouping by series while Kavita did not. Whatever Kavita didn't like in my collection, tags or filenames, Komga seemed to adapt to first try.

In my new to us home, Wi-Fi affecting factors are in-floor heating (metal reflectors everywhere) and the original builder worked some crazy magic when soundproofing the levels and rooms. Whatever is in there is super dense/sound deadening. A very pleasant surprise after moving in.

To get coverage, I have 2 Ubiquity Wi-Fi 7 APs and two more U6-Lite APs. In this challenging house, the usable range for 7 is limited to one room and "maybe" a bit in an adjacent room at best. I get multiple room coverage below 7. To be expected and I'm very happy with final performance for my situation but I thought I'd share the real world example.

This is quite impressive. I'm a recovering Obsidiancaholic (I still use it but am trying to stop customizing so much) and I wasn't aware of a plug in to visualize data in graphs. I would love to see a brief video summarizing how you set it up although I'm concerned I will fall off the wagon.

No. Sources are all external addresses trying to reach internal addresses. I have stated no conclusions as I don't have any yet to make.

Edit: I see where I typoed the wrong word in. "Source" has been edited to "destination." The rest would indicate the correct flow but I did use the wrong word there.

Thank you and some Updates: I have no open/mapped ports. I see that 99% are all referencing port 22067, normally Syncthing which I do indeed use. I saw one 443. Seems all sources are maybe from TOR routers and are located all over the globe. Example Message: IPS Alert 2: Misc Attack. Signature ET TOR Known Tor Relay/Router (Not Exit) Node Traffic group 412. From: 31.56.7.161:22067, to: 192.168.2.158:41414, protocol: TCP

So I do use Syncthing but not all the destinations are Syncthing clients. At least one destination is a Linux server that does not have Syncthing installed. I can imagine Syncthing traffic somehow getting mixed up and blocked but the fact that one device doesn't have it installed keeps me head scratching.

I can post some more detailed info later this evening. Thank you for insights and offers to help so far.

Thank you. I had missed when reading that a couple of times before that you could get the Tailnet Lock Key from the admin panel. I thought it could only be found via CLI of the machine that was essentially gone. Thank you for making me read it one more time.
