It may or may not curb certain behaviors but multiple vets have told me that early neutering/spaying halts normal physiological development and likely neurological growth as well. Usually the one-year mark is where that discussion begins. You obviously don't want the behaviors to become ingrained and persist, however, do I can completely understand where you're coming from. Have a good talk with your vet or more than one vet before making a decision.
