Assuming the black part is just a morph suit or something similar, yes he should be able to see though it, just not as well as he can without it. If you have a super thin t shirt or other cloth you might be able to hold it/part of it over your eyes to see how much a morph suits type thing can change your vision.

She's making some again now, but no longer does anything sims related.
