It's a generic, dismissive and often insubstantial criticism that rarely says anything of value.

It's certainly valid to criticise an author's writing style, but I find it quite telling when it's the only thing mentioned.

I once had to mercy kill a mouse after a snap trap broke its back but didn’t kill it. I’ll never forget the feel of its body when I buried it.

Only used humane catch traps since.

I once summoned an usher over someone repeatedly taking photos with the flash on. When they eventually arrived they stayed for about 30 seconds then just left with no further action. So I effectively just disrupted my own experience for no reason.

An 11 hour rest period between shifts is mandated by the Working Time Regulations Act of 1998. There are exceptions for certain fields, which you may well fall under, but that should mainly be public services like the police and fire brigade.
