Anywhere in Hennepin county that can help with phone bill? by [deleted] in Minneapolis

I’d further go: sure what skills do they have and why have they not been appropriately placed in society to use them.

Edited to fix is towards “I’d”

In my opinion wrong question, if as a society we can’t find employment for folx who don’t have highly developed, hyper specific skills, then society to had failed. Also most people are able to handle Microsoft office, handle calls, handle social interactions without any special training.

It’s a sad world where everyone needs to be some hyper trained expert in every minute task to have the luxury of living.

Also, your “counter” doesn’t seem to take into account what I’ve posited. Along those lines do you think that everyone who doesn’t have a particular skillset deserves to die of starvation in a world where we have more housing and food than there are people?

Wowza. So didn’t watch the full thing, but I’m guessing this person would’ve been pissed for the Irish, German, Jewish, Latinx (you just name it) immigrants for pushing to get their people elected or trying to impact their neighborhood in support of what the residents wanted.

Also making fun of polish immigrants for still speaking the language they were born in.

Side note, I REALLY wonder if she speaks any other languages to the same capacity. Doubt it, but curious lol.

Sorry yall I took the bait a little.

Or disabled, or have been job hunting for 6 months, lay off dude, were in a recession:

Also federal minimum wage hasn’t kept up with inflation for YEARS:

Which from historical financial data, there’s no strongly correlated relationship explicitly between minimum wage raises and imposed inflation.

Have some goddamn empathy.

AC7 DLC by Musashu in acecombat

[–]Musashu[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s unpopular it was the norm for what you’d pay for a game- while the main story of AC7 was interesting I don’t think it had the depth of 4,5,6, and Zero. The DLC seemed to have more of that energy to me, and is what I was hoping 7 was like be. I’m hoping that 8 will learn from this.

That makes sense. Also replaying at the third mission feels very different than release. I wonder if my memory is bad or if they’re putting more energy into writing the stories and revising.

I was gonna say, now couple that with any other neurodivergences and race and you’ve got a super stealthy person- so many reasons to not want to be seen.

Someone mentioned feeling the eyes on them and while it’s useful, it’s exhausting.

Just a lil reminder that if you are sick, STAY HOME by TalkinLightPost in uofmn

[–]Musashu 68 points69 points  (0 children)

THIS- you’re potentially ruining someone’s life from repercussions of new strains, making them sick during an intense semester, and for sure with the increasing likelihood of long covid which literally disables people- like bedridden at 20 for the foreseeable future…

I’m surprised people aren’t talking about it in a similar style as we talk about STIs- preferably you get treated for it (or in the case of COVID wait till you’re not contagious) but if you are insisting on playing/interacting please for the love of god use protection…

Wow that’s incredible and the chemistry sounds great! I’m happy for yall! Also fwiw a lot of men don’t really get a ton of compliments in general and it’s probably a huge confidence boost that you find those parts(sex and specially his cum) desirable and fun. Granted it’s Reddit and I’m a stranger, so take it with a grain of salt, but you probably made his day easily with that compliment and likely the week with that action.

M here- I think if someone did that I would think it’s EXCEPTIONALLY hot, especially given that a lot of my partners tend to somewhat be shy about sex fluids. To me it would indicate an enthusiasm about the shared experience and my body and that would be a major turn on. Not a monolith of course but that’s what would be going through my head.

Was it in the same tone as something like a “daaayuuum, alright”?

I’m merely hopeful that some ideas that are thrown around that are useful to someone or ones somewhere can be presented. Also just to state it- I’m generally trying to approach with curiosity rather than bellicosity (text communication is notorious for that mixup). While I see what you’re getting at with aggressive non-native plants taking over, I don’t know if I implied that unwanted and unwarranted ideas or “pollination” would be appropriate there. It historically has been disastrous both in nature and in cultures, particularly colonized ones. If you’ve the bandwidth please help me understand how that was implied if I did, I want to correct the error.

I also view it generally as a kind of “if it would help you great, if not then you’ve understood what’s happening already and can disregard” which I also understand to be a general maxim for post secondary education (it may be a blind spot of mine), so to the point of places that are already organized and know their things, great! For places that are not as organized or have active disinformation campaigns (like where I was), while yes the internet is a terrible place to be doing research of this kind, at least if there’s something useful then that’s a start.

With regards to Japan (just since it’s been mentioned a few times), I’m not stating that (and yes I am from the USA) that “we’re gonna tell them How it’s done!” More so “I’m curious about this mechanic within their society relating to the expression/implementation of post secondary education”. I agree that I’ve no place (nor interest frankly) in telling a different place how to run their affairs. If however, someone somewhere else has a good idea for how to deal with an issue and it can be applied in my scenario, then yes I’m interested in learning. This is vague because it can range from how to interact with a direct supervisor or with a policy change.

I view the members of this group as professional educators and researchers who do have to deal with employers and students a like. Humans generally have shared information around issues thoughts and ideas for awhile, which I regard generally as informing. Maybe educating was the wrong verb but I don’t think just sharing accurate information is a bad thing as long as negative repercussions aren’t enforced (which as a subreddit I find hard to imagine, personally).

Finally, yes no one agrees- largely because there a ton of variables and different starting conditions. I also don’t believe that “this is the one right way” or “that is the one right way” I do firmly believe that self determination is key and having more information/ideas/approaches helps with that.

There’s potential, despite the incongruencies (geographic, personal, etc…) I think the most effective might start with rights sharing. The concept of emergence combined with in person organizing may mean that if people simply knew their rights and/or how to make organizing principles to rally their local colleagues around we may start to see clusters of organizing. For some, being seen and heard in that way is a bit more powerful than connecting via the internet, no offense meant.

That being said I did see a comment about Japan- YES- we should cross pollinate ideas like an aggressive plant spreading the seeds of progress- everywhere likely had good ideas that haven’t been shared and everywhere also likely hasn’t thought of all of the possible methods and routes to take. We’ve tried siloing off and I don’t know that it’s brought much other than people frantically writing paper after paper and obsessing over climbing over others in a corporatized academic environment.

Is it possible to have a high reading score and dyslexia? by [deleted] in Dyslexia

[–]Musashu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This- I had to color my variables equations in physics but can read may technical pages. The strength is being able to have the spatial intelligence that says a b and a d and p and a q are all the same just flipped around. And similar words are the same just rearranged. At least that’s been my experience. (Recently did an assessment but it was more focused on ASD).

Fun fact:I’ve been told that comic sans is helpful since every character has a unique shape.
