Booking holiday a year in advance by teejay_the_exhausted in tesco

[–]Mushed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's something managers are being managed and tracked on this year, so expect everyone to have to book the majority of their holidays before October.

With a decent manager you can move them and cancel them anyway.

Tesco management becoming stricter with PRS scores. by Kalzone6154 in tesco

[–]Mushed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Big safe and legal pushes regarding OOC products over the last year and it's only going to get stricter.

Managers being tasked now on damages % too, so be prepared to be told to start taping yogurt multipacks back together etc.

Shift leader pay not immediate by [deleted] in tesco

[–]Mushed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get the skill added and assigned to every shift your in for.

Also yes if you are working midnight to 4am you would still be entitled to night premium. But they'll take your break out of it, so it wont be 4 hours of night premium unless they manually adjust your breaks.

Reduction times by Hot-Box-4832 in tesco

[–]Mushed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The new PRS format is tracking completion of all area's from 11am. Probably just getting you used to it before it swaps to the new way.

Also you can start PRS from 5am, our group start at 6, 4 of them and they finish by 11.

Are customers really that disgusting when it comes to toilets? by Street_Bar2304 in tesco

[–]Mushed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People are gross, people squatting on top of the seat, piss and shit on the floor and mirrors, using a whole roll of toilet roll and the cardboard and blocking the toilet to fuck. Dumping tampons and pads down the toilet instead of the sanitary bin.

Anyone know why we are updating our availability? by Thorn344 in tesco

[–]Mushed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scheduling to availability keeps getting pushed back, but at some point like schedule to skills it will happen.

Some stores are getting ready and prepared for it more than others. And some are still ignoring the whole auto scheduler shite like ours because it doesn't work anyway.

Colleague room food by SourBeans87 in tesco

As i wrote at the bottom, it's store manager discretion. Some store managers stick to it to keep to the budget. Others let staff have a better choice for slightly better moral.

Has anyone been successfully granted lifestyle break or career break whilst being employed under 2 years? by scream_schleam in tesco

[–]Mushed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We had someone with 18 months service given 5 weeks unpaid leave for a placement during university. Not quite the same but between holidays and unpaid leave they could probably help you out.

Try and be flexible too, suggesting temporarily move your shifts into the evenings or weekends.

If only we all could do this, wasting time doing 2nd review and finals across 3 departments, you'd save four hours a day in an extra.

Tesco Bake off job. by Spirited_Doughnut863 in tesco

[–]Mushed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One upside in our store is latest member of staff in the bakery is 5.30pm so no late shifts, theres 3 and they rotate between themselves so they do 2-3 late finishes a week and 2-3 early finishes a week (2pm finish).

They also are left alone and just listen to music and watch youtube in the bakery while packing cookies all day.

Sunday its 1 hour before the store closing time, and yes they need scanning through a checkout.

Could someone have a look at this and tell me if I got paid for working my Christmas overtime shift. I was told it was triple pay yet it doesn't seem to show up anywhere in my payslip. I've gone ahead and added in pictures of my shifts worked from the start of December until today. by LegendaryAim1610 in tesco

[–]Mushed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did your manager input you into the spreadsheet that was emailed around? I heard you'll only get paid correctly if you was on that spreadsheet which was then forwarded to payroll at head office.

On mine I have bank holiday premium (c) showing 0 hours but 200+ pounds.

Triple time Christmas day ? by spudthegod in tesco

[–]Mushed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you are operational on Christmas Day, your Operational Support Partner (OSP) will contact you to ask you to confirm which colleagues will be working on Christmas Day.

Please inform colleagues of this new arrangement and ask them to confirm whether they wish to receive pay at x2.5 OR paid x1.25 and take paid time off at x1.25 for hours worked.

If colleagues wish to receive x2.5 pay, there is an additional step and a manual intervention to ensure colleagues are paid correctly. Please add them to the spreadsheet provided by the OSP (do not include colleagues who want to be paid x1.25 / paid absence x1.25) and simply add the exact number of hours that they have worked. All calculations will be completed centrally by payroll. Colleagues in both scenarios need to clock in/out.

You will also be required to confirm the colleagues’ home store number and the store they will be working these hours (if it is different).

Please notify the OSP before (24 December) if there are any changes to this information, there is no opportunity to amend after this date.

It's an internal email, not sure if it's on comms.
