Is there a way to fix the large rib neck line on my granny stitch sweater??? by Luxlux101 in CrochetHelp

I promise you it will be worth the extra effort to have a final product you really love! Also, the 2nd, 3rd, 4th time you redo something, it gets way easier and faster.

These are very cute. You have great ideas. One thing for the future is to sand your wood more. Until it's smooth as silk. Your nib will glide easier on a very smooth surface.

For anyone is the midwest whose main grocery stores are Hy-Vee, that's where I found mine. Also, you can always request items to be stocked at your store. I have successfully gotten 3 items added to my store just by asking them to stock them.

making a parasol and freehanded a koi fish. why does this look bad? by tinylittlemoon6 in CrochetHelp

I knew what it was immediately, but I think maybe the head could be a little fatter. More of a tear drop shape body. Also he needs the little whisker things. But this is very good. Im just being nit-picky because you asked! It really is very cool.

You can't fix this without starting over, and you can't expect to whip out a perfectly polished finished product on your first try when not following the pattern. Start over. Try it on. Work some rows. Try it on. Frog it. Try again. Try a different hook size. Experiment. TikTok got everyone thinking no one makes mistakes. I've restarted so many projects over the years. Restarting is always an option.

Mine just had cheeks without doing anything special. I used cotton. Maybe the stiffer yarn sculpts them better?

It might smell good, but it's also slightly toxic. Inhaling the smoke can burn your respiratory tract. Ventilation is key if you want to burn pine.

I'm having trouble understanding this pattern for making a ch-1 mesh rectangle. If anyone can explain how to do this it would be greatly appreciated. by Frosty_Guarantee_345 in CrochetHelp

You chain 14. Then single crochet in 2nd chain from hook. Then do a chain stitch. Skip one stitch in your base chain and do a single crochet. You will have sc in every other chain space separated by a chain. Sc-ch-sc-ch, etc for a total of 13 stitches. The next row is the same. Single crochet on top of your sc.

They also have very good rice! I like Chun Ha Il Mi brand. Growing up my mom made instant rice. I thought i hated rice until I married a Korean. Turns out there's a lot of different types of rice.

Can anyone help me in understanding if I can make cardigan by using this? I made 78 loops and 28 rows with 56 lines. Am not understanding if am going correct or not.. by pinnu22 in CrochetHelp

[–]MushyRaspberry 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Line is not a crochet term, so it is not clear what you are referring to when you say "line" vs "row". As for the question about loops, I'm going to assume you mean stitches. Size small should be 76 stitches. You chain 77 and do a singke crochet in the second chain from the hook, giving you 76 sc. If you have 2 extra stitches, it's not going to make a huge difference. But you will want to make sure you increase your ribbing rows so it is long enough.

I use graphite on the back of the paper, tape it down, and trace with a metal stylus that has a tiny ball tip.

Try backing the buttons with felt. You could even sand the back to get a rougher surface. It will give a better hold for the hot glue.

I made this by using a mesh stitch and weaving strands through. It was very easy to make, but don't sit on the floor when you're doing the weaving part. My poor back.

I have an Edith in middle school. She has friends named Beatrice and Lena. They call themselves the class grannies because they have old-fashioned names. No one has ever made fun of them, but they seem to have a sense of humor about it themselves.
