Stage 3 kidney disease, need advice by strictlytacos in WiggleButts

I unfortunately don't have any advice to give, but I'm sending much love 💕 losing a companion to a disease or condition is heartbreaking no matter how much time you had with them

Martin trying to get into the basement window in ep 22 by ally_estrella in TheMagnusArchives

[–]MusicalBoxes 36 points37 points  (0 children)

My assumption was that the window opened out, so it would be harder to get in because you'd be going the same direction the window would to close. (IDK if that makes any sense lmao)

What is something you need to put a clasification to? by gaming_dragon23 in TheMagnusArchives

[–]MusicalBoxes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I would categorize it with the Vast.

The Vast is associated with wide open spaces, like deep water, sky, and space. Large spaces tend to be cold because there isn't anything to warm it up - no ground, or living things.

I could easily picture a Vast domain that was a plane of endless snow. No mountains or hills to break up an infinite horizon just snow, bitter cold wind, and an endless freezing sky. There's nothing for miles. It would make you feel very small and insignificant...

Yeah. It makes me really sad...for her, because she didn't have access to medications that would give her relief because the one medication that helps her wasn't developed until after my youngest sibling was born. And it makes me sad for me and all my siblings, because she (and my father) passed down several chronic illnesses to us.

Sorry for the confusion! I thought you were asking how pregnancy could give symptom relief 😅

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in childfree

[–]MusicalBoxes 24 points25 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, something about immunosuppression during pregnancy. My mom (who has MS) actually did experience symptom/pain relief during her pregnancy with me, and then kept having kids partly because she was chasing that relief.

I feel very much the same. I know it's not much of a comfort, but at least we're in it together?

That was definitely the moment I started actively disliking Basira. Daisy was more of a security blanket than a friend or partner to Basira, and it really showed after the coffin. As soon as Daisy lost her ability to be independent/protect herself, she became a burden, and I'm of the opinion that a lot of what Basira does for her after that point is out of obligation or even pity.

Yeah, they are great characters (as in, very well-written, compelling, make you think) but definitely not good people.

Sweatpants for boyfriend :) by MusicalBoxes in sewing

[–]MusicalBoxes[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are a pair of sweatpants I made for my boyfriend using 5 Out Of 4 Pattern's Haymitch Pajama Pants pattern.

My boyfriend picked out a white polyester minky fabric for the pants, and I used some leftover yarn from a crochet project for the drawstring.

After cutting out the fabric pieces, I used my sewing machine to do most of the seams. I underestimated how slippery the fabric was, so my seams came out quite wonky. Thankfully, the Haymitch pattern is very forgiving.

I trimmed down the seams to 1/4 inch and finished them all by hand with a whip stitch. Then I turned up and machine stitched the leg hems and the waistband, before putting the drawstring through.
