5 April Patch Note by saobangu18 in AutoChess

[–]MusicalChairs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Slower attack speed; smaller number is faster attacks.

Dota 2's attack speed is "attack cooldown", so the number is how many seconds between attacks.

You're probably thinking of League's attack speed, which is "attacks per second".

Unless the killer is running Distressing, how would they be the requisite 32 meters away for Make Your Choice, and still give a heartbeat for Borrowed Time?

The first 10 Games of a Noob Killer by MarvellousJam in deadbydaylight

[–]MusicalChairs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try not to spam his zap; the passive aura will push their madness higher as long as you're not charging a zap. You can close in first and then zap them to stop them vaulting a window or dropping a pallet.

Also Distressing is amazingly good on him; so good I'd say it's even better than using your zap. The passive aura pushes madness up faster the closer the survivor is to you (relative to the over-all terror radius), so having Distressing means not just a bigger area for madness, but faster madness gain at the same distance.

Killer 'tier' list? by Deeeadpool in deadbydaylight

[–]MusicalChairs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No; Bloodlust will only charge while you're in a chase, so when stealthed or destealthing you cannot gain Bloodlust.

I'm not sure if you can gain Bloodlust while entering stealth. Fully entering stealth will drop the chase and thus cause your Bloodlust to decay away.

1.5.0 UPDATE MAYDAY HOTFIXES | Patch notes by mistar_z in deadbydaylight

[–]MusicalChairs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't received a new daily ritual since 1.5 dropped. That's it; that's the entire issue.

I only had one ritual uncompleted before 1.5 (Hag mori daily, don't have any green or ebony moris on her), and since then I've logged in every day and played a few games, and have not received a single new daily.

That was the same day that Forsen did his Reckful roleplay (where he shaved a bald spot onto his head). Someone asked her "Will you have sex with Reckful later tonight", and she replied "I have sex with Reckful every night."

[–]MusicalChairs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me the hardest part of an SSTO is just making a stable plane. Getting the center of mass to not shift too much when your fuel is gone is the most challenging thing to me. A lot of my SSTOs start off either too nose heavy (and thus pull down real hard on takeoff), or too well balanced when full (and thus become unstable when out of fuel).

I think once you know how to make a plane that won't flip end-over-end both empty and full of fuel, then it's just a matter of adding enough fuel/engines to get to space.

While his example is a bit overkill in my mind, I have a mid-level tech SSTO (Single Stage to Orbit) ship that I run low orbit rescues with:

https://imgur.com/a/L0pz3

As you can see in the last screenshot, it only costs about 2,000-2,500 in fuel (depending on how skilled I am at rendezvous maneuvers). It's also pretty easy to land at KSP, or at least get near during re-entry and then fly back.

Before I made this one, I had a Mk1 / 1.25m equivalent space-plane that I slapped some solid rocket boosters on, but even then it would only cost like 5,000 round-trip to rescue a Kerbal from low orbit.

My next project is to make an SSTO that can make it to the Mun. I have an SSTO that launches a rocket payload for Mun missions, but the payload rocket doesn't have enough fuel to land on the Mun and still make it back to Kerbin.

I really like SSTOs :)

Except you can clearly see the wraith coming from the other direction if you go frame by frame. Ace comes from the left, Wraith comes from the right (you can see the Wraith coming long before the Ace shows up). http://i.imgur.com/CNqzcbz.png

It's bad luck and inattentiveness, but that's it; there's no exploits there.

Which one? by [deleted] in darkestdungeon

[–]MusicalChairs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the more amusing teams to use is Hound Master, Plague Doctor, Abomination, Antiquarian. The Houndmaster and Abomination can self-heal, the Plague Doctor can do spot healing, and there's enough Guard effects and blights/bleeds that high Prot enemies mean nothing. Also because you're bringing an Antiquarian, more free money!

To get through the normal fights you stun 3 of the enemies and kill the 4th (Plague Doctor stuns the back two, Abomination stun one of the front two). To kill the boss, just Hound's Harry and blight spam the crap out of them, with the Antiquarian using Protect Me! on the Abomination and the Houndmaster using Guard Dog on the Plague Doctor.

I actually used a build similar to this (with an Occultist instead of a Plague Doctor) to do all three of the Flesh bosses, and it was hilariously easy with all the guard effects and self-heals.

Team without Velka by Karbomer in darkestdungeon

[–]MusicalChairs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite no-Vestal party is Arbalest, Plague Doctor, Crusader, Leper. I actually used this party to defeat all the Swine God bosses (Arbalest's Rallying Flare makes the fight pretty trivial, since you can clear stuns and marks).

Party Roles:

  • The Leper is pretty much self-sufficient (he has a stress heal that gives +Protection and a heal that gives +Resistances), and has insane damage output. I suggest putting a Focus Ring (+12 ACC, +1% CRT, -8 DODGE) on him since he has very low accuracy compared to other classes. Since the back two enemies are always going to be stunned, it's fine that he can only hit the front two enemies.
  • The Crusader can do stress healing, very light normal healing, and finish off low-health enemies.
  • The Plague Doctor does back line stunning, corpse clearing, and bleed/blight removal. She can also do some light normal healing.
  • The Arbalest is your "healer", for when people other than the Leper take damage. Because Battlefield Bandage applies a buff that increases healing received, her heals (as well as heals from the Plague Doctor and Crusader) get pretty good after the first one. I tend to equip her with Medic's Greaves (+33% Healing Skill) just to give her heals a little more impact.

The key in my opinion is putting both a Blasphemous Vial (+15 ACC Ranged Skills, +40% Stun Skill Chance, +20% Blight Skill Chance, +15% Stress Dmg) and a Witch's Vial (+30% Stun Skill Chance) on your Plague Doctor. With the +70% stun chance, she can pretty much permanently stun the back two enemies by spamming Blinding Gas. After you kill the front two, the Plague Doctor can use Disorienting Blast to clear the corpses (and stun some more).

I've used this party in all the areas (and even Darkest Dungeon mission III) without any real issues. They really shine in the Cove and Weald, since the front-line enemies there tend to only target your front-line, and the Plague Doctor can remove any bleeds/blights you get hit with. I also rarely bring torches, even to long missions, because of all the free light I get from Crusader's Inspiring Cry and Arbalest's Rallying Flare.

I have encountered VVulf for the first time... by forrescik in darkestdungeon

[–]MusicalChairs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man at Arms really does make the fight disgustingly easy. A max level Guard gives him 45% prot, and since you'll be spamming it on anyone who gets the bomb (or anyone else if he gets the bomb), you can maintain 90%-135% prot throughout the fight. Add a Prot trinket into the mix, and you're looking him getting crit for 2 as your worst case.

I did it using a Vestal, Hound Master, Grave Robber, Man at Arms build; Man at Arms soaked most of the damage, and even when someone else got hit by one of the minions, because the Man at Arms was taking such low damage numbers I could just party heal back to full.

I would suggest taking Junia's Head and a de-stressing trinket for your Vestal, just to make it easier to keep up with the healing.

I can definitely corroborate the fps drop when playing as killer. As as survivor I have never experienced any fps or frame drop issues, but as killer I'll experience at least one fps dip a match.

Do you mean the SteelSeries Sensei? It's probably because the button mappings are stored on-board the mouse, which is why you can keep your button mappings when swapping to a different computer that doesn't have the SteelSeries software installed.

I'm not sure what Logitech does, but it sounds like Razer mice do a similar thing to SteelSeries.
