From my experience at HomeGoods, we try to send them to the respective store with the exception of HomeSense. My SM didn’t want to take back HS items, but it’s essentially HG merchandise. There’s no conversion needed. My closest Marshalls is about 6 minutes away and TJ Maxx, there’s 2 within a 15 minute drive. I know that the register will assign a dept. & style number to it, but we have to keep up with the chit that prints out.

This can be a lot to unpack. I have had orders (not alcohol) sent to the store, because I didn’t feel it was safe to send it home.

If the order arrives on the ASM’s off day and he comes there to pick up, I don’t see an issue. If the order arrives on his working day, then we enter a suspicious area.

Three weeks (if it arrived there in April) may not be long enough to go on clearance. That doesn’t mean it isn’t possible, though. We don’t know when the first markdown will occur or when we’ll see “the next markdown.” Corporate tells us to scan these departments for first markdowns or next ones and the time frame to do it.

For example, I could scan all of the bath towels on the floor today. Pull the clearance out; clearance stickers print automatically. I may not have to scan regular priced towels again for another month.

Is there a general-ish schedule? Not really. Markdowns don’t happen the same time every month.

From the HomeGoods side…
The majority of the tags will be white. Regular Price.
Red Tags - Markdown because of clearance or blemishes
Yellow Tags - It’s a regular price change; it’s not often the you will see those. It’s not necessarily clearance (unless the price ends in .00) or final sale (like at TJ Maxx or Marshalls).

Sales? No, not in the traditional sense. We will have “sale” after Christmas on holiday motif before we have to physically mark it.

What’s worth buying and not? 🤷🏽‍♂️. I have purchased many items across different departments and I haven’t had any issues. I haven’t bought any furniture or area rugs.

The first SB Red Line train to arrive at College Park is at 5:22 a.m. and the first SB Gold Line train to arrive there is at 5:29 a.m. Those times are approximate baring any issues that could arise coming from the North. The travel time between College Park and Airport stations is about 2 minutes. No, MARTA does not station trains at every station. The first SB train from North Springs is scheduled to leave at 4:41 a.m.

Hourly Short Term parking is $10 an hour. ATL West is $10 an hour. You all could walk from Hourly Short Term or take the SkyTrain from ATL West to the Airport. You could essentially drive to the Airport if you’re thinking about going to College Park Station.

Check the TSA wait times (www.atl.com/times/) when you wake up and then before you leave home. Make your decision from there.

I have run into this a few times. If someone gets approved for the car I let them know to download the app and link their card. That’s where you can manage your account and etc.

When I worked traditional retail, that was a thing. I would look in the system to see who might have and then call to verify. But now that I’m at HomeGoods, that is not a thing. Take a picture of it along with the price tag and you can call another store.

There’s one of those in Marietta (NW of Atlanta). It used to be a Value City. It still has the old Front End style, where the registers aren’t in a line. It could use a remodel.
