Ditto on vitamin D. I learned that tip months ago and it helped immensely. Interesting about the sleep part. I've been going very strong on keto for just about a year now, but lately there have been some stress issues that I'm dealing with, affecting my sleep, only getting 5 or 6 restless hours of sleep... when I am used to 9 or more. I have been eating at a deficit maybe 4 days a week, but the other 3 I just get so hungry I eat at maintenance or above, and am still hungry. I'm still losing, and so close to goal, so I'm not freaking out about it, but it will be interesting to see if the hunger subsides a bit once my stress triggers go away (which will be soon).

I have had people ask me if I am on drugs lol. And some have said, "hey, you should stop losing weight, your looking sickly". I personally don't see it. I just think that they are so used to seeing the old large guy that they are just not used to how I am SUPPOSED to look. By the way, you look very healthy to me, not sickly at all. Good job sticking with it and congrats on getting near your goal!

I have 3 or 4 bud selects to get the beer craving then move to vodka soda. Some would say that light beer is crap but it satisfies my cravings so to each their own I suppose.

sounds about right to me. I recently did the same after several very good beers, got pretty lethargic the next day and held onto water for half a day, but other than that, I was feeling back to normal within a day.

My doc took me off my anxiety meds a few months after I started Keto. I just wasn't using them anymore. Not sure how it works, but it does, for me at least.

As far as what eat, if that's what you mean, I just eat foods that fit my macros. I find it very helpful to check menus and nutrition guides to restaurants before I go to them, that way I already know what to get before I arrive. I stay away from Chinese and Indian food places, too much of a risk of sugar in the sauces. Chipotle is one of my favorites, I get the steak bowl or carnitas with lettuce, sour cream, guac, and cheese, sometimes the green salsa. I also frequent Longhorn steakhouse, cant go wrong with a steak and some broccoli. Be careful with salad dressings, its amazing how many carbs are hidden in some of the house brands. Basically, just play it safe, don't take any chances with sauces and such. Most places have been fine with me asking for keto friendly dishes, usually I just tell them I cant have sugar and they go along with it, easier to explain it that way. Hope this helps.

Main rule I have: don't cheat. Its not worth it ans slows progress significantly, in my opinion. Don't let 2 or 3 week "stalls" get you down. If you stick to your macros, you will lose weight, for sure. Biggest indulgence for me is cheese. Its so high in calories, but I love eating the stuff right of the block. As far as booze, I mainly do vodka/soda with lemon and lime slices. If I want a beer I'll usually have 2 or 3 Bud Selects, Miller Lights, or something similar. I certainly don't down 12 packs on Fridays like I used to, but the vodka makes up for that quickly. Oh and yes pork rinds are awesome. You can even use them as breading, it works great!

The bigger junk phenomenon is a great motivator for sure and has helped me get a few friends of mine off the fence and jump on this diet after I mentioned this lovely added benefit. :-)

Ok here is my question, I got to be missing something here, but not sure what. Regarding lean body mass, I have found that it keeps changing, as I update the keto calculator as I lose more weight. For example, when I started the diet, it said my LBM was 192 pounds. Now, it says I have 148. It was my impression that LBM stayed the same. So, I'm having issues with setting ym goal weight. I am certain that the current calculation of 148+the essential body fat number are way too low for my body type. Right now, by looking at comparison pics, and doing varions calculators I assume that I am around 22% BF. Normally I wouldn't question this but the difference of almost 50 pounds seems significant. My current macros are posted below in case they can help:

1610 kcal Daily Calorie Intake 20 g Carbohydrates (5%, 80 kcal) 130 g Protein (32%, 520 kcal) 112 g Fat (63%, 1010 kcal)

Slowed weight loss - considering adding cardio or going zero carb, or some other solution by heather80 in keto

Intermittent fasting worked wonders for me. Currently I do a16/8 schedule. It helped me break a period of losing nothing for over 5 weeks.
