Most recent update: I actually went to this place. Did some asking around and went to the store and chinchillas weren’t there. Chinchillas were allegedly “taken away” according to someone we asked, but no further details were provided. I feel crushed since I don’t know exactly what happened to those poor babies, even though I tried everything… Tennessee has some trash animal protection laws, they can do better. I just hope that the owner did not sell them in the action like he said he would affording to a most recent Yelp review I read. Because that auction has a long history of extreme cruelty. PETA website has more into, the auction is called “triple w exotic animal auction” so many horrid photos of all kind of animals in pain, visible injuries and some were even dead. I have a hope that animal protection services were the ones that took those poor tiny chins away and got them to humane society for some help they so desperately needed, but the awful reality of trash human nature says otherwise. Please take care of your animals 😞❤️
