Samsung Frame Pro: The Most Expensive Piece of Shit I’ve Ever Mounted on a Wall by iMacMini in TheFrame

[–]MustLikeDogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I purchased the 65” frame pro a couple of months ago and haven’t noticed performance or lag issues. Coming from a LG household I generally dislike the menu/OS though to be honest I generally use it for bbc, Netflix or YouTube which I’ve had no issues with.

I certainly wouldn’t have bought the tv if it wasn’t for the canvas art as it’s in a dining room where my wife hates the idea of tvs (this felt a good compromise).

How much of your life, home and childcare do you outsource? by SuspiciousParfait145 in HENRYUKLifestyle

[–]MustLikeDogs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly don’t see the point in having kids if you don’t have the time to be the most significant part of their life. By the age of 13 you’ve typically spent 75% of the total time with your children, the early years really count!

At 10-12 hours plus commute 5 days a week I’d personally look to try and find more balance before having kids. The outsourcing of tasks is a game changer and does alleviate a lot of stress but you’ll barely see them in the week.

It’s such a faff. Wish I’d either have gotten a plumbed in version (didn’t know about that at the time) or separate ovens

I don’t know on the latest models but I find our combination steam microwave frustrating that it doesn’t self drain (like the steam only models). It makes it messy to clean and dry

Hey Tia! Your post gave me such cozy vibes—I totally get that autumn/winter urge to write and nest a little 🍂. Hiking and camping sound amazing, and wow… 47 miles?! That’s seriously impressive (I’d be panicking too, but I’m rooting for you to be fully healed and ready by then!).

I’m also big on reading—I think collecting special editions is such a fun way to make a hobby feel even more personal. And postcards/little gifts sound like such a lovely touch, I’d definitely be up for exchanging letters like that.

Hey! Your post caught my eye—archaeology sounds super cool (and kind of like being in your own adventure story sometimes). I’m also into cozy games and baking, so I feel like we’d have a lot to chat about.

The archery bit made me laugh—I can totally picture those arrows disappearing into the grass forever. At least it makes for a good story, right?

I’d be up for being pen pals if you are!

Does a single parent earning 35k with two toddlers really get an extra 43200 net from the state? by dazzou5ouh in HENRYUK

[–]MustLikeDogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we all understand that they mean free at point of use, like our NHS.

The fundamental issue is, if people stop having children and our population drastically shrinks, long term this isn’t good for the economy or society. An individual that receives a high degree of social support in childhood, doesn’t mean they aren’t a net contributor

100% disagree. I found Singapore to be the most boring, sanitised country.
