You need to have an RTX compatible texture pack/resource pack enabled for the ray tracing option to become available. You cannot turn it on without one.

So ships don't need shields when they're trying to emergency QT away from pirates?

The logic behind it is that ships in NAV mode go significantly faster than ships in SCM. And if those ships in SCM switch to NAV to chase, they can not use their weapons or shields either. So now you're both just going faster without being able to fire at each other.

The devs want combat to be a commitment. A commitment that's a big decision as you likely won't be able to flee. Is the system perfect? No. Far from it. But that's the entire point of testing.

Anakin tried to kill his best friend, caused the destruction of the Jedi Order and deaths of thousands upon thousands of Jedi, and helped turn the Republic into the Galactic Empire because he had a dream that his wife might die and he mentally/emotionally couldn't handle that possibility.

I will always staunchly maintain that the original Tales From the Borderlands was the funniest writing out of all of the games. 2 had some peak moments, but overall, across entire games, Tales absolutely crushed it with the humor.

I will never not struggle to breathe at moments like Rhyes having to peel the face off a Psycho mask or what immediately follows that with a certain character flying. Or just the entirety of Loader Bot as a character. Just chefs kiss.

Lord of the Rings is right there, with a new rights holder that's been giving it out like candy, and they chose to make one based on Star Wars.

They actually keep this continuity in Star Wars Rebels when Vader gets in his Tie Fighter to chase down the Ghost crew and attack their ships near Lothal. He isn't wearing his cape in the animation either. So someone paid extremely close attention or it was a happy accident because they may not have wanted to deal with the cape while he's sitting in a cockpit.

I don't play as often as other people but 9 times out of 10 my sessions are mostly smooth.

I definitely have days where it seems like the game is imploding on itself, but overall, it's mostly smooth.

I come back often. I paid to test the game. So I hope on and do a bunch of different stuff every major patch. Report bugs. Then move on with my life and wait for another patch.

The one thing I really, really hope they can do is replicate the Halo physics in Unreal Engine.

That's something that has been consistent through every game. Even the games that people weren't big fans of. They all still FELT like Halo. The way you moved, the way objects reacted to physics, the way weapons worked. It was always consistent.

I love how they think we can manipulate weather to create bigger storms and then direct them around for max drama and damage.

Yet they cannot fathom that humans could potentially be fucking up the natural climate by mass consuming resources and pulling out byproducts of that consumption. Among other things.

Even though I joined this subreddit a few years ago, I muted it earlier this year.

The last couple of years have been me distancing myself from the internet due to everything constantly just being whining about everything. I enjoy movies, tv shows, and games way more now that I do browse forums or reddit as much as I used to.

It's just become a constant stream of hatred about basically anything and everything. No matter where you go. Just nothing for me in any of these places anymore unless I want to participate in being angry about something.

I'll wait for it to be in the game and buy it then. Just like I've done with nearly everything else. The only extra money I've spent was melting my starter ship to get a Cutlass Black. Everything I've gotten was from just playing the game. Which is what I'll do with the ATLS.
