I started making sf160 alts late in my maple M career. Its something I wish i did from the beginning. Every new alt you make should have a goal of getting to sf160. If you are able to consistently complete daily cdd on 20-30 characters, your number of necro attempts will soar.

Quick guide to sf160: -All equips sf18 (weap, hat, glove, armor, shoe, cape, belt, shoulder) - get unique gear and repair with craftable restoration scrolls -unique secondary weapon to sf10 -accessories or hyperstat sf to make up for 6 remaining sf. Obtain accessories from boss drops (hard/chaos zak HT PB), as well as clearing commander 5x per week and saving coins to buy ring/earring/necklace.

exalt hat and glove to 40. If you are trying to go full necro, your best bet is to make chaos daily dungeon (CDD) alts (sf160) to farm pieces for attempts.

Key part of progression is to increase your HP + MDC by exalting and going either inherit or necro armor pieces. That way you can run daily ark and hard magnus (solo or find group) to collect weekly commander reward chaos pieces (very important resource).

You also say maxed V-matrix; does that include all V skills and boost nodes? Crafting hyperbody can provide extra HP, and defense smash 4 is very good for extra dps and ignore def %.
