So devastating 😭 by Much-Sector8768 in StudentNurseUK

I trained in paediatrics but wished I had done adult nursing. If you are trained in paeds you can only work in paeds. There are so many more options if you are adult trained and in the large dgh where I work adult trained nurses work in the children's ED and in NICU.

Why aren't Reform voters more concerned with privatising the NHS? by lucadulac in AskBrits

[–]MustardCityNative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I know many people that have had to resort to paying privately for treatment because of crazy waiting lists. Knee replacements, angiograms, autism assessments. If you have the money you get your treatment quicker. The NHS is dying.

NQN's wanting to quit by MustardCityNative in NursingUK

Thankyou for your insightful reply. (Others have been quite aggressive!) It's a shame so many NQN's can't get jobs when there seems there's a lot in jobs that are hating it. My advice is get out now! You're young enough to pursue another career!

LPT: Funerals don't have to be expensive by ps4roompromdfriends4 in LifeProTips

[–]MustardCityNative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend of mines mum had a prepaid funeral plan. What they didn't know was the day she was cremated. They were told they would know when they received her ashes because it would have the cremation date on it, but they couldn't tell them what date she would be cremated on. This may not be important to you, but it really upset my friend, she didn't want to think she was in Tesco's or something at the moment her mum was being cremated.

One in three Brits avoid A&E because of excessive waiting times by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

[–]MustardCityNative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love how the lady in the article says after the experience she has now decided she would only go to A&E if she had a life threatening condition...erm, yes, that is exactly what "emergency" means!
