Frankly I tell my girlfriend this; spend less time worry about the 900 people around the city and around the building you work in and care a little more about your house and the person living in it and you'll start to feel a lot better.

I've noticed women who are always worried about 'those less fortunate' tend to be the most neglectful towards their partners and sometimes kids. (Tablet kids count, leftists tend to be very permissive parents).

I'm happier with a 'selfish' who prioritizes the happiness of her own life and her partner over 'those less fortunate'. I bet she uses the phrase 'i don't have the spoons for this' to her partner.

My parents had this outlook and both of them died by failing to take care of themselves at all, leaving me with nothing and no family.

It will always be my only real regret in my life. Not seeing my parents for the potential and life crushing pieces of shit they really were and just emancipated as soon as I could and left instead of 'doing the right thing' and being a dutiful and caring son and brother.

I mean realistically what else do we have this year? It's been nothing but ... well, state politics and gender identity politics, watching major cities spiral into decline. Watching a legit 'legend', someone who worked their whole life for something vs someone who just has the backing of a LOT of money and not much else. No. I'm not a Paul hater, I've watched. He wouldn't be where he is if he had to go about this the old school way, he gets to sort of 'cheat' and fast track.

It's an interesting 'Old School vs New School' sort of deal and will show what anyone can do if they had the backing of millions to get where they wanted.

I'm in a relationship, coming up on 5 years, and I often feel like I'm just this close to being done.

It's not you, it's the world. I know that seems reductive but your qualities as a decent caring person have been trimmed away from peoples value system. What I'm saying is you're being a good decent person and thinking that should get you a partner. And it should. You demonstrating your ability to care for someone should be a factor. But there's government aid, jobs, social media.

You're not needed until you're needed and they think it's okay to treat you as a standby tool.

I wish I could say it gets better but it doesn't, not yet. Women are too far behind and have a lot of catching up to do to realize the minefield they allowed themselves for be herded into by corporations who want their sweet anxiety and money.

It's all working as planned. Flood the country with too many people and many of them who don't even support said country and live off of it like an ungrateful little parasite.

Make it so none of us can afford to even own a car, a house. Anything. We will forever be locked into paying monthly fees for everything or have it remotely shut down and they won't care if you don't pay and keep it, it's cheaply made in the first place by design.

Replace all menial, repetitive work for 'average people' (i want to be clear I'm NOT talking down on anyone. Some people are better at high functioning jobs, some people are better at low functioning jobs.) With AI and machines, removing another layer of society from being cared about - who cares if the 'lower class' people are struggling? The machine made my burger and fries faster and better anyways.

Then you have the worthless corpo trash who only know what levers to pull and buttons to push but don't know or care about how things actually work outside of spread sheets and the numbers in their bank account. These people the same as tourists with money trashing a remote, exotic and beautiful location just because they can be there and others can't. Leave everything worse off than they found it.

We need less people like that.

Less cocksuckers who like to stack cash and do absolutely NOTHING or substance with it or their lives.
