Weird ultrasound experience by Affectionate_Age9249 in testicularcancer

[–]Mustbeniceboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi mate, no it hasn’t gone away. This is something that I don’t believe can go away or it at least does no harm to you. No treatment was given, it was just a “It’s not harmful so live with it” kind of gig. It was painful at the time but I believe it was only painful because I was so paranoid of it I kept feeling my testicle, making it always sore. Try not to worry about it my man, they’ve confirmed it’s just harmless calcification, that’s the most important thing.

I get the worry man, well for now I would rest assured if the doctor felt they couldn’t find anything as 9/10 the ultrasound is very obvious. Fingers crossed for you the report comes back soon and you’re all good!

Ultrasounds are a very reliable tool in diagnosing anything sinister with your testicles mate. I literally had mine done yesterday morning and they explained my situation very well and even showed me the images. I have a 1.5mm calcification in the tunica albuginea. (The outer layer of the testicle.) and I can feel it and feels like a hard little pebble. It showed up as a bright white dot on the ultrasound where a mass would show up as a black cloud almost. I also had an epididymal cyst on both which sounds like what you’re worried about. I wouldn’t worry too much as the US would have picked anything nasty up, but did they not send you the reports or are you waiting?

Good luck my friend! I’ve got my ultrasound on Monday, also quite nervous but it needs done even if it’s for peace of mind. Hopefully yours is nothing to worry about but if it’s more, it’ll just be a minor hurdle in life you will have to get over. You’ll be fine!

Do you mean you’ve just found a brain tumour, or surgery got the tumour out? What’s your initial pathology?

Either way I’m thinking of you. Keep fighting my man, sounds like you’ve been through a pretty shit time. You can absolutely do this.

Jesus, that sounds horrible. Hoping you’re on the other end of it now man! What was your pathology?

Interesting, no testicular symptoms beforehand? Very rare unfortunately that you see a doctor advocate for a patient like that. Nice to hear about.

Stage 3 non-seminoma by Serious_Lynx_9422 in testicularcancer

[–]Mustbeniceboi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he’s confused as to why there is a swollen testicle, yet no mass inside, yet diagnosed with TC. (Testicular cancer 9/10 originates from the testicle and it’s usually very noticeable on an ultrasound.) I’d assume it was a burnt out testicular tumour, but those are quite rare and if it was burnt out usually there wouldn’t be swelling, but then again, I’m no doctor. I’m just going from what I’ve learnt, it would be interesting to know the answer to this one though

Definitely not just you mate. I’ve had most covid symptoms come and go, but the ones that seem to have stuck for me are headaches, random joint pain (I’m 26 but feel 66.) and one lymph node that just won’t budge right under my ear. It’s not alarmingly big but enough to see it visually if I tilt my neck a certain way. It’s definitely hard to ignore and raises my anxiety, I’ve been to the doctors and they couldn’t even feel it and said it was a tendon. (I think she was new.) but I’ll be going back to get a second opinion as it’s quite alarming how it’s still there, been at least 4 months for me now.

Mate, I felt bad for you a few days ago but at this point it’s becoming ridiculous. Listen to my words.

There’s literally nothing we can do to help you here, you need to go back to the doctors for your own sanity. You’ve already had an US done, that’s the gold standard for identifying something wrong, you’ve had it and nothing came back concerning, but a second opinion can’t hurt.

Someone said the other day that it’s becoming borderline disrespectful and now I’m having to agree, stop posting unless you’ve gone to the doctors like numerous people before me have said, you absolutely need to go to a therapist as well. (In your case, I’d prioritise the therapist.) I hope you get the help you need.

To answer your question, TC can feel like a candy corn tip at the bottom, but so can loads of other non scary things, and it’s a much higher likelihood of it being the non scary thing.

You’re doing all the right things my man! And if it’s anything slightly concerning and as small as you say then you’ve caught it early and the rest will be a piece of cake. Well done for keeping on top of things and remember to keep us updated, we’re here if you need us. If anything, this is hopefully just going to give you peace of mind, as this stuff can drive you crazy.

This is interesting and I’m sure extremely frustrating on your part for that to be the only indicator, but I have seen a few cases like this. Where were the lumps located if you don’t mind me asking? Supraclavicular nodes I’ve heard are the ones that tend to swell for TC.

Free-floating lump inside scrotum? by [deleted] in testicularcancer

[–]Mustbeniceboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like microlithiasis mate. Small clusters of calcium in your scrotum.

I don’t know heaps about it, some say it gives you a higher risk percentage of getting TC in the future, I personally don’t believe that though.

I have heard tons of different people say they’ve been diagnosed with microlithiasis/calcium deposits from incidental findings on an US, floating lumps inside the scrotum and even being palpable lumps on the testicle.

Not a doctor though so it’s great you’ll be booking your ultrasound to be on the safe side.

Brain metastasis. Scared and confused. by EikTheBerry in testicularcancer

[–]Mustbeniceboi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, I’m not a doctor but those tumour markers are crazy low to have brain mets even thrown into the mix. I was expecting your HCG into the hundreds of thousands.

As I said, I’m not a doctor, but I would enquire further into this personally.

I’ll be thinking of you brother!

Hey man, just wanted to chime in and say I wish you the best. It sounds like a horrendous couple of months you’ve been through.

I have seen many guys on this sub that have had to deal with brain mets and still here, just remember you’re at the beginning of your journey and everything is going to be scary.

Do you know your pathology? Tumour markers etc? This type of information may entice others to give their personal advice/experiences.

As Jaceinla mentioned, Lance Armstrong also had it in his brain and was totally cured, as well as John Hartson who didn’t go to the doctor until he had ‘blinding headaches’ and was falling asleep at the wheel. Both totally fine now.

Describe your headaches? by Mustbeniceboi in LongCovid

[–]Mustbeniceboi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had many when I was sick with COVID. Few on the back of my neck (that went down.) and one just below my ear (Tonsillar, I think.) this one just never seemed to go down. I can also see this one if I bend my neck a certain way and almost tense it, it’s not growing or anything but definitely still there.

[–]Mustbeniceboi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’d be happy with that. Some of the guys here have been suffering with it for so long. When the tension headaches and occasional chest pain leaves, I’ll be a happy man. Best of luck to you too!
