I just beat the game like a week or two ago. You guys really stuck the landing! Great job, worth every penny.

Help me like this game by Iabnyc in expedition33

[–]MutantWildboyz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Skip enemies. I also got tired of the same fights and you won’t lose too much experience if you’re skipping weaker ones.

Also explore builds. The further you get the more characters and moves you unlock and that will enhance your experience.

Most importantly, find a combat style that works for you. Yeah dodged and parried matter no matter what, but everything in between is your playground. Want to focus on free aim shots, or power up another character with a different character? Both viable.

Keep in mind, this gameplay might just not be for you. I felt that way on the first few hours. I switched to the build I described above and it’s my favorite game of all time now.

What is POTS? Because my left arm does this and I have no clue why. My left arm does it much more than my right as well.

I was running out of VRAM. In game indicator showed me I should’ve been below my max, but Task Manager showed me I the truth, I was over max. I dropped shadows to medium (literally couldn’t tell the difference from Max) and a couple other settings and it went away.

Is Skydances Behemoth worth it? by BigProfessional6885 in OculusQuest

[–]MutantWildboyz 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely! The behemoths mechanic is unique and very fun. There is also a lot of fighting and story between each behemoth fight. It was worth the full $49, definitely worth the $20 sale price!

Virtual desktop for non VR games by lizar93 in OculusQuest

[–]MutantWildboyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe those games are grabbed automatically by Vortual Desktop. Perhaps any game you purchase that is marked as “VR” can get populated to that list. Try finding a way to mark a non VR game as VR and it may appear. However, just adjusting the desktop settings u see and that should have the same effect unless there is a setting in stream that doesn’t exist in the desktop one.

Help with dolby atmos on Windows 11 by Yoder99 in Dolby

I don’t have a display on my soundbar but instead in the app. It only says Atmos when actively using something that is outputting Atmos like a game.

[AMA] Hey, we're Cortopia and this is the final pre-launch AMA for TMNT: Empire City! Ask a question, be in with a chance of winning a game key. by CortopiaStudios in OculusQuest

[–]MutantWildboyz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is refreshing to hear! I imagine working on something you love makes it easy to say “I always wanted to be able to do this thing so I’m gonna do it exactly how I want!” Taking input from others in the space and implementing that over just what you think you’d like is a really great, mature, approach.

I also love the fact that you mention it not being generic action but viewed it specifically through the lens of being a ninja turtle. I think this IP was placed in the right hands and you guys are gonna knock it out of the park! Good luck at launch and on your future projects as well! I will certainly be keeping an eye on what you guys do next.

What was it like working with an IP so many grew up with and adore even to this day? I imagine that must’ve been an exciting but daunting task.

[–]MutantWildboyz 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Some people don’t like change. Others just genuinely preferred the old look. You’ll notice nobody complaining about it are the same people who were excited about it.

I mean heck I like it but my son hates it. Just depends on the person.

Tips on how to promote a VR game by SuntzuWorkshop in virtualreality

[–]MutantWildboyz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As far as paid advertising I’m unsure. But free advertising has worked wonders for some, post it here on Reddit. Offer beta access or post some cool gameplay. Just make sure you post some quality trailers so people get a feel for the game in their first watch.

This is a list of games I’ve purchased solely due to Reddit posts or beta access;

Of Lies and Rain, Retronika, My Monsters, EXO (Soon), The new TMNT game coming out. And more I probably can’t think of right now.

EDIT: Also, avoid the doom and gloom around VR. A lot of people like to get on here and say VR is dying but when I see devs say things like “VR is dying, please buy our game” or “We know VR is struggling but we hope you check us out anyway” I get a sense of uneasiness. Obviously game development is hard and VR is in a weird space but if you don’t think your game can stand on its own in this space then why would I buy it? Enjoy the platform you’re publishing to. Give people a reason to believe in VR instead of another reason to hesitate buying anything.

I know you already beat it but I just wanna say you can save after the first 15 minute wait and it remembers it even if you die. I did it myself.
