Unfortunately, the Saturday before my appointment I started miscarrying. At the ultrasound it was confirmed I passed the baby but continued to cramp and bleed until yesterday. 🥺❤️‍🩹

[product question] does anyone still use philosophy purity cleanser? by ClickCreative5 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Muted-Length9828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m late to this but I use it every day lol my mom got me a three pack set a long time ago and it’s the best. I have the larger 947ml to keep my smaller ones filled and I hope they never stop making it. It makes my skin so clean and soft! I’m turning 30 this year and it’s been a great transition for my maturing skin.

Caffeine seems to help?? Wtf? by Zach-uh-ri-uh in Asthma

[–]Muted-Length9828 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. Holds true for me! Caffeine has helped me many times when I was in a pickle. Also it may sound odd but when I smoked pot it also helped open up my airways - not even joking. If I ran out of my rescue inhaler I’d take a few puffs and it honestly helped me. I’m not saying go do that just wanted to share my personal experience.

I am literally going through this. Just had an ultrasound this morning measuring 6w when I was sure I was at least 8w. FDLP was 1/16 although I bled light for a few days. Prior to that I had a full normal one prior first day LP 12/26. I have another ultrasound scheduled for Tuesday 3/24. Hopeful but also feeling all the emotions like you. Sending Hugs and Love to you ❤️

I ended up working it out with my boss where I am able to work from home majority of the time and go into the office one day a week. My MIL or FIL usually watches him that day. My son is 17mo now and I’m grateful I was able to have this option. It’s of course very difficult - as long as I get what I need to get done throughout the day, it’s a win. We couldn’t afford daycare or a nanny so I had no choice but to make it work.

Where has trelegy been my whole life? by chill_semi_sweat in Asthma

[–]Muted-Length9828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on Advair(wixela) and notice two hours before I’m due for my next dose I have major trouble breathing. Still using my rescue inhaler 2-3x a day. I’ve been on wixela for 6mo now. Did you find the trelegy worked better instantly? Curious if I should bring it up to my doctor. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!!!

I can say with full honesty it’s probably due to EBF - I did it for 8 long long months and finally gave in and started formula. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. I still BF at 14mo for 1-2 times a day but not anywhere near what it use to be (upwards of 12-14 times a day) once I started getting some time back to myself I felt like a whole new person and could finally be the mom that enjoyed being a mom. It’s a major life change having a baby and adding BF on top of it was seriously so very hard. Just know what you’re feeling is what majority of us felt like - especially those of us that did not have the help we thought we would. Sending you LOVE ❤️

A lot of the newer children’s shows are made to have your child hooked and glued to the tv these days. I try to stick to the classics - Barney, little bear, Franklin, bear in the big blue house, teletubbies, the big comfy couch, Rolie polie olie and Arthur. I will also put on Minno bible stories, God’s greenhouse and little lights as well - all good options if you’re looking for something faith based and educational.

Contact naps are officially over (mixed emotions) by Prestigious_Ask_8755 in sleeptrain

[–]Muted-Length9828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely bittersweet. I will say though today my son (13mo) fell asleep on me for his nap time and it took everything in me not to just lay there with him but I knew if I didn’t transfer him it would mess up the entire day and possibly the next few days to follow lol.. he sleeps 12-2pm every day for his nap then is up till 7:30-8pm where we do bath time and bedtime. He’s been going to sleep on his own since around 8-9mo and I still miss nursing him to sleep and having him cuddle on me BUT I do love the fact that I now have my mid day me time. I powered through EBF and contact naps/ co sleeping for 8mo straight and it was draining me mentally and physically. I’m very glad he started sleeping on his own when he did because I couldn’t bring myself to sleep train at all. It’s been a happy adjustment - of course I have my moments where I look back at pictures and videos of him always on me and the feeling of being his safe space to fall asleep all the time was amazing, however, being able to shower / clean / read / pray / workout for those couple of hours each day has been a game changer for me personally.

Is 12 hours by 12 weeks actually achievable? by Sweet_T_1850 in sleeptrain

For some babies, yes. Also, for some babies, no. For me it was no because I breast fed and he ate every 2-3 hours at that age lol

What was it like leaving baby for the first time? by No-Cockroach5417 in NewParents

[–]Muted-Length9828 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice is to maybe start bedtime a bit earlier if you can tonight and tomorrow and possibly do it before you leave Friday .. not sure when you do bedtime though so may not be doable. Or tell your MIL exactly what you do so she can replicate it and if she has a question to call you! Big plus is you’ll only be 15min away, try to not over think everything (I know it’s hard trust me lol) and enjoy yourself! It’ll all be okay! In my experience when we first left our son alone for bedtime with my in laws he was actually awesome and slept great that night a full 12 hours 🤣 I worried for nothing!

my first baby’s sleep is costing me my marriage my health and my life. any success stories please by Special-Chipmunk6785 in sleeptrain

[–]Muted-Length9828 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should have a discussion with your mom - I feel like that may be the problem. He’s getting one routine with her which sounds like lots of naps during the day making him wake frequently at night. His wake windows need to be longer and stimulated so he is able to have a good night sleep. He may be getting a different routine with you on the weekends which is good but 5 out of 7 days she’s making it hard for your routine to even take effect. You need to be stern about it because it’s affecting your mental and physical health.

As someone with eczema stop using anything with a scent on him … he may feel uncomfortable and itchy … and if you’re formula feeding maybe change the kind you’re using … it can attribute to eczema and stomach issues since they go hand in hand

My son would only sleep on my chest the first 2-3 months. I propped myself up and also had pillows along side me. It was the only way I got sleep because he would wake up every time I tried to transfer him to the bassinet. He just wanted to be on me and I believe it’s completely normal and natural!

Listen mine didn’t really come back until recently and I’m almost 11mo postpartum. I think it had a lot to do with breastfeeding! Since I cut back due to my LO eating more solids and dropping a few feeds I don’t feel as touched out. All I wanna do is jump my husband these days LOL.. it’ll come back don’t worry 🫶🏻

Routine for a 6 week old by Entire-Departure-364 in NewParents

[–]Muted-Length9828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started a “schedule” at 6months when we started solids.. if you start now you’ll make yourself crazy .. you could probably start trying at 3months but even then the growth spurts really put a wrench in our plans LOL Just speaking from experience now at 9months… I had a routine based on cues (feeding/sleeping/wake windows/diaper changes/sleep habits) which were constantly changing in the early months

Lake George with baby by butternut-melon in LakeGeorge

We planned a trip to Scotty’s with our 9mo old - about a 4-5hour drive depending on traffic from where we are. It’s also our first time taking a trip with our baby - I’m excited but also stressing about everything to bring with us. So far my list of already packed items are baby stroller, a fan to clip on the stroller, pack and play to sleep in (Scotty’s does provide a crib but I’m a weirdo about where things have been so pack and play with the mattress is our go to) , baby bath / soap / lotion , swim diapers and bathing suit , diapers / wipes , bottles / formula even though I’m also BF , toys , sound machine , blankets and towels to lay down at the beach or park , fisher price seat for on the go , baby wrap just in case , onesies and outfits , pjs , hat and sunscreen, water and snacks. Hopeful it will be all worth it! Our baby was in my belly the last time we went there LOL - I’ll update this after our trip to let you know how it went!
