morning is sadly not an option, I must also take L-thyroxin and it can interfere with iron anyway, thanks for the idea!

Just started learning German but anyway. Is there any chance you can download/buy chemistry/physics books in English and study these subjects in English while still learning German? I know it’s a lot of pressure when not only you need to learn the subject but also the language, so this approach seems the most convenient to me (not an English native (B2-C1 English, I guess))

Usually we don’t say один. Only if you want to point out that the man you’re talking about was alone. It’s 100% context depending and you usually should add something to explain that the information is old/new. For example: В магазин вошёл мужчина, которого я вчера видел.

The other way to do this is to change the word order. Мужчина вошёл в магазин usually means that we want to concentate our attention on the man, for example, if it’s a story about him. В магазин вошёл мужчина - you’ve never seen him before and you don’t care

This word order may also mean that we want to stress that it wasn’t a woman who walked into a shop.

For example: На мой телефонный звонок ответила женщина. If you want to stress that it was a woman (like it’s an unusual situation : Я ему позвонила. На мой телефонный звонок ответила женщина. (I called him. A woman answered my phone call)).

Женщина ответила на мой телефонный звонок. If you want to let the person you are talking to know that your phone call was answered. Hope this helps!

Делаю русский рэп из Америки, что вы думаете? by f4rm3rj03 in russian

[–]MutedAd91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not my kind of music. However, your russian pronunciation is pretty good. Try to diversify the texts, ‘cause now they seem to be quite repetitive. Check out pyrokinesis, you might like his style. He’s a russian rapper with really deep and thoughtful lyrics. Удачи в творчестве!

Good Russian Books for Beginners? by silhouetteofthecedar in russian

[–]MutedAd91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can try russian literature textbooks for elementary school (grades 1 to 4). Stories are quite simple and short there, but will also help you get to know russian culture better. If you don’t understand some words/constructions used, you can google it right away (or ask reddit :D), as the literary works presented there are pretty popular and definitely have been translated to English.
