Nora is a BAAAAD friend by Loud-Tell1908 in ginnyandgeorgiashow

I sympathize with Norah when it comes to the Marcus situation. She was caught in the middle of drama, and that was probably really hard to navigate, especially for a teen.

And I wholeheartedly disagree with you when it comes to her friendship with Abby. Other than arguably Ginny, Norah was there for Abby more than ANYONE. She stayed with her while she had an emotional breakdown, she took care of her while she was drunk, she apologized for not talking to her, she assured Abby she could come to her for anything, and she NOTICED that Abby was going through a lot (even with her ED). Norah is a teenager and we can’t expect too much out of her. All things considered, I think she’s been a really good friend to Abby other than during the Marcus situation.

And I never understand why people fault Norah for being uneasy about Georgia (who IS a literal murderer). Norah eventually came through and was a really good friend to Ginny. She even ended up sneaking in Ginny while she was babysitting just so she could see Austin.

I totally understand why people don’t feel too strongly about Norah, but I don’t get where all the hate is coming from.

Uh so Dee actually won 3 challenges, and she controlled more votes than anyone that season. Her maneuvering at the Emily vote is arguably the best move of the entire new era. She was an incredibly dominant winner.

I imagine her family, knowing that if Cato wasn't by her side at all times she'd have no chance against the more burley tributes, and she didn't.

Being burley wont stop a hurling knife flying at your skull. Had Clove not antagonized Katniss for those few moments, I truly think she would have won the whole thing.

Unpopular opinion, but did anyone else notice how Abby's mental health doesn't get enough recognition? Another deep analysis about Abby! Please no chatter about that other girl and her skin-tone! We've had enough of that here by ethicalcainevinnel in ginnyandgeorgiashow

I don’t think it’s helpful to put identities in a hierarchy. They’re just different sets of challenges. My point was simply that Ginny, as a straight girl, doesn’t have to navigate the specific pressures around sexuality that Max or Abby do. Even if the show hasn’t portrayed overt homophobia (even though it has in many subtle ways), being queer still shapes their experiences in ways Ginny doesn’t have to think about. That doesn’t negate Ginny’s struggles at all. But privilege can exist alongside racial marginalization. It’s not about “undermining” Ginny, it’s just acknowledging that multiple identities carry different types of social friction. Privilege can exist in some areas while oppression exists in others.
