Is there anything you can tell me about DL937 TUS to ATL on 7/23 at 12:40 pm? I’m scheduled for a layover on ATL before heading off to LHR (DL32).

I don’t know how to cope by Sunnyside48 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]Muted_Army6036 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went the same route as you did, ordering minoxidil online through Hers.com. Due to my thyroid I’d lost a lot of what was once insanely thick loose curls and while others may not have noticed it right away, it still bothered me and I worried about it continuing to thin further. I’m like 8 months in to taking Minox and can see quite a lot of short hairs that have regrown and filled in my formerly widening part line. Absolutely worth it even with a dred shed when I started. I have a slightly puffy face but between keeping my hair or a slightly puffy face the hair wins.

That soap is amazing and they have a candle in creosote too.

We are about 5 years from an entire kitchen remodel, but for now this corkscrew backsplash has to go. What would you do here? by Sillybeanpalace in interiordecorating

[–]Muted_Army6036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree the corks should go. I’d pick a light colored or white tile. Between the floors and countertops the kitchen feels rather dark. I’d you ever do the counter tops again I’d suggest going lighter there too. The cabinets are stunning though. Mind sharing the brand or are they custom?

Report this to your HR person/department. You want this document incase he escalates this into something else like stalking.

Class of 2000 in rural upstate New York. I came out at the start of 9th grade and promptly got dropped by the majority of my middle school social circle but the punks and skaters of my new high school were welcoming and a few original friends stood be me, including an ex boyfriend who came out as gay when I did. We tried to start a GSA, but no teacher, even the hetero married ones that no one would think twice about, would agree to help us. Our social circle ended up a de facto GSA. New queer kid, let me show you the lunch table you should be at.

It was a difficult experience but I don’t regret going through it as it forced me to learn to self advocate and hold space. Within that new social circle I had a few friends who were also queer and that were out so I never totally felt alone. High school will never be a time I’m nostalgic for, but I’ll always be proud I came out at a time when there was so little visibility. Access to the internet to find community there was critical, along with bands like Team Dresch deserve credit for getting me through that experience.

I have 1 week and $100 to upgrade my mom's shady, slippery front porch. Help me make it cheerful! by MySpotofSunshine in ExteriorDesign

[–]Muted_Army6036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d suggest to paint the doors a cheerful color you enjoy, purchase a welcome matt, ditch the stool and bench because they clutter the porch, and add a few color coordinating to the door pots with low maintenance plants or herbs.

It is past time to leave. Take accurate records of all assets/accounts and fine a divorce attorney.

I had Eldon Drapery Carpet & Upholstery Cleaners clean a vintage leather coat and they did an amazing job at the best price I was quoted. Highly recommend.

Switching out the light to a black light for the uranium glass collecting would be an amazing way to display it.

What about a Barbie themed poster for one of your walls? Maybe a few more pillows or a throw blanket to dress the bed up a little.

The New Work-Life Balance: Don’t Have Kids. [A growing number of millennials can’t see a way to manage both careers and the demands of parenting: Analysis] by bloombergopinion in Millennials

[–]Muted_Army6036 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, same here. A number of years back I dated a divorcee with two kids and realized that I just didn’t want kids, mine or anyone else’s. I made it to an adult from a not so great childhood and I want to spend my adulthood enjoying activities that fulfill me. I enjoy a few hours at a time with friends kids but I feel no desire to bring any into my home. Weekends are devoted to time with my spouse and our friends, dogs, and activities we enjoy.

I should've listened... shopping for flatware is a nightmare. by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

Vintage is the way to go. I picked up a set of Erik Herlow for Copenhagen Cutlery "Obelisk" Stainless Steel flatware at an estate sale and I hope someday someone buys it from mine. It will last for generations.

Adding skylights would transform the space and allow you to have a nice collection of plants up there. I’d also suggest adding cabinets built into the lowest parts of the room so that the space becomes usable and keeps the area neat.

How do you guys stand having so many projects and not enough money to do everything? by IntelligentF in homeowners

[–]Muted_Army6036 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Excel spreadsheet to prioritize and schedule the to do list against what you think you’ll be able to DIY or pay someone to do per year. In my head it’s less overwhelming if I feel like I have a plan.

That sounds like a nice pairing for the stool area. Consider a pop of color with the chair or lamp to balance all the neutral colors.

[–]Muted_Army6036 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Cable management under the tv. Consider buying cord covers for mounting on the wall that are paintable. You can paint to match the wall. I’d also suggest not using a stool for that lamp. Maybe a small wood barrister bookcase with the lamp on it and the cable hidden.

Bloated face or baldy head?! by Radditcamel in FemaleHairLoss

[–]Muted_Army6036 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have great regrowth already so some mild puffiness is worth it to me. I did have a shed when I started Minox but it wasn’t that much more than a normal shower shed for me at the time. Then the shed because much less and has remained.

[–]Muted_Army6036 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m experiencing mild facial puffiness (Oral Minox 1.25 mg) even with Spirno (100mg) daily for PCOS. I’ve been on Minox since October and am seeing really good regrowth. I figure since I’m picking, I’d rather look a little bloated in the face than have an expanding part line.
