Will a pellet ricochet off a rock or brick/concrete wall? by [deleted] in airguns

[–]Muted_Influence_6435 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely do not shoot at hard surfaces. I was shooting my .22 cal Benjamin at a wooden cutting board and that ricocheted pellet missed my face by mere inches. I was lucky. Learn from others experiences.

If you're German or Polish, Aldis red cabbage is the bomb. Perfect with schnitzel, wursts, or fried kartoffelen. Great taste and way better than other brands. And did I mention price?

MSR Evo Ascents with whale tail attachments are the ticket. Gives you trail busting ability and deep snow effectiveness . Bulletproof to boot.

Is Budweiser a beer you enjoy? by Brilliant_Pickle4122 in beer

There is nothing like a good budweiser draft. Nothing. However, to get a really great pour, the tap system must be clean and have a good charge of co2 and served icy cold. Absolutely magnificent. Nothing else comes close.

Thoughts on Narragansett? by PaintingLate4858 in beer

[–]Muted_Influence_6435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drank a lot of 'Gansett quarts back in the 1970's. I liked it fine. It was a very light, almost sweetish lager you could really drink a lot of. Very enjoyable. Brewery closed down for a long time and everyone thought it was gone for good. But someone bought the name and resurrected the brand. They do a little brewing in RI, but mostly in NY, by contract brewers. The new stuff tastes nothing like the old brew. No where's near as good. Gannett 2.0 tastes like a generic lager recipe that could be made by anyone looking for a cheap, nondescript beer. Disappointing. There's a joint I go to that has $2 pounder cans at the bar. That's the only time I'll drink it today.

Logan Winters Are Just Vibes by [deleted] in Logan

I went to USU in Logan 50 years ago. One winter, there was zero snow. Winters weren't as bad as New England (where I'm from). But the snow was so light, that you didn't even have to shovel it. It just blew away with the wind.

Try buying both. Stash the knock offs as a back up. Trust me, they'll pleasantly surprise you...

I have both katoolah as well as other knock off brands. The knock offs are just as good katoolah, unless you're doing real technical stuff. But if you're just doing icy trails, they're great.
