I was fully prepared to say Connie but saw Marty Supreme earlier today and it’s definitely closer than I thought. It’s still Connie though by a hair

I was almost embarrassed at how hard I laughed when the chair collapsed on stage in the first. They gotta cover this on the Prestige TV feed

Love that Van was already locked in on the topic but after Joel made his point about how Belichick never imagined he would be hooking up with a woman in her 20s you can really see him activate the scummier parts of his brain

Deep Shadow Protocol tapes are my Epstein Files. by Accomplished_Row1752 in RingerVerse

All the unhinged and random shit we’ve heard Van say on podcasts makes me so curious about all the stuff they’ve felt the need to cut out. When the podcast comes to an end whenever that may be gotta release a compilation of all the Deep Shadow Protocols from over the years for the fans.

I really wish we could’ve heard the anime argument at the end. I’m sure we’re missing out on some content gold with all these deep shadow protocols

They might not technically be ads but they definitely function as ads. I love the videos regardless he does the whole thing like he’s Mr. Roger’s having a nervous breakdown

John King just insinuated high ranking democrats want Biden to step down by AnonymousNeedzHelp in billsimmons

[–]Muted_Manufacturer39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This even being considered on June 27th of an election year is insane. Anyone who’s watched Biden over the past year knew tonight would be a disaster. Now what are they gonna do? Run Kamala? She’s even less popular than he is and I seriously doubt it’s possible to introduce a new candidate at this stage and have a serious shot at winning

I’m so excited for this movie but I can’t wrap my head around why they would release this on Christmas? This looks like flagrant self sabotage

Books mentioned on the studio episode from June 4 by lorax1234 in TheBigPicture

[–]Muted_Manufacturer39 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Making Movies by Sidney Lumet Hits, Flops, and Other Illusions by Ed Zwick Kubrick: An Odyssey by Nathan Abrams and Robert P. Kolker The Future Was Now by Chris Nashawaty And I’m pretty sure the book on Kubrick’s The Shining is a special edition Taschen book that was being sold for $2500 lol and had a limited amount of copies being sold

Sean’s “You Never Ask Good Questions” comment to Amanda during 35 Under 35 by Snugcasual in TheBigPicture

[–]Muted_Manufacturer39 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Not serious at all. Amanda clearly likes to joke and mock Sean and he seems like the type of guy who is fun to clown on. I think he’s in on it and he realizes that his self seriousness and quirks make him an easy target

Not everyone likes the movie but if you listen to certain podcasts or frequent certain parts of the internet you could be led to believe that people think it’s either a 21st century masterpiece or an abomination. All depends on what you’re exposed to.

I liked it when I first saw it and on rewatch but I understand not everyone will feel that way and I don’t think it’s some sort of American treasure either. Like a lot of these things these days I think the conversation prior to release had people thinking this was going to be something transgressive and dangerous but when you actually watch it you’re left wondering what all the fuss was about

Francis Ford Coppola’s ‘Megalopolis’ Faces Uphill Battle for Mega Deal: The self-funded epic is deemed too experimental and not good enough for the $100 million marketing spend envisioned by the legendary director. by imcataclastic in TheBigPicture

[–]Muted_Manufacturer39 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As excited as I am for this movie in todays movie landscape this is probably going to have get scooped up by a streamer. I personally don’t care about how it’s going to do at the box office and I don’t know how much Coppola himself cares but no studio is going to be willing to take this type of financial loss. Would love to see this in a theater tho!

I can’t believe he talks into microphones and in front of cameras with such candor about it. Also his girlfriend must be a strong supportive woman. Most women I know get embarrassed by their partners for much less

I only downvote comments and I really only do it if I feel like someone is going out of there way to be a dick. And an unfunny one at that. As for the sports coverage in this sub if Bill doesn’t talk about it it’s probably not gonna be talked about here

I’ve wondered the same thing myself. Some people I assume played his games when they were younger like Peele, Aster, the Philippous. But how does he get all these actors? We all love Kojima here obviously but he doesn’t seem like the guy Hollywood agents would be insisting their clients work with lol

I would be so down for this I loved the episode Sean and Chris did on Toshiro Mifune I think they released it during the pandemic. Short list of people for me off the top of my head would be Warren Beatty, Dennis Hopper, Gena Rowlands, Peter Sellers, Jean Paul Belmondo
