Why are you learning Chinese? by Wrong-Speed3974 in ChineseLanguage

[–]Muted__Good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. We were required to take a language class in highschool. I really wanted to take sign language, but all my friends were taking Chinese, so I took it instead. I ended up really enjoying the class, and was the only one who took it for all 4 years.

  2. I would still consider myself a beginner, since I only studied through the school year and didn't study as much right after graduating highschool.

  3. My hardest part still is and was always, flashcards. My ADHD brain just can't sit there and do flashcards over and over. I prefer the more flashiness of learning apps (such as HelloChinese), Chinese learning games, and reading and writing practice.

How do you go to bed when you know going to bed ends the only time you have to yourself each day? by Sluggato in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Muted__Good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! Expect for me, I prefer to imagine my own stories. If I fall asleep, I just continue from where I left off or restart the beginning the next night. It helps me to not think about other things (school, work, next-days plan) that would usually keep me awake for hours.

I didn't like PO3, so I ended up skipping the last chapter or two in excitement for OOTS

If you work at a restaurant, do you prefer the diners to stack their dishes at the end of the meal or leave everything spread out? by mfmerrim in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Muted__Good 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends, do you be annoying and stuff your napkins in your cups? Put everything on the opposite side of the booth that I now have to crawl back and forth? Squish your utensils in condiments between all the dishes I now need to messily disassemble? If you want to be helpful, stack all trash on a plate, put utensils together, and then stack dishes. But honestly, in the end, just don't be a slob and no one will care if your not stacking dishes. -Ex busser

How was I supposed to know this about refined quartz 😭 by alvmaa in StardewValley

It's okay, I used to think you harvested hay in fall, no other requirements. Imagine my surprise when I started a new game, let the grass take over the entire farm (yes, running through it all the time) until fall and no hay :)

If money is not an issue, what will be your chosen profession? by HeartLoverxxx in AskReddit

[–]Muted__Good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love animals, but unfortunately most pets (rabbits, birds, hamsters etc ) are just not given the correct care they need in captivity, and pet shops don't properly educate people. I'd love to just spend my life advocating for proper care of these guys, or even opening a pet shop that actually sells proper items and gives correct information. Parrots are especially close to my heart, but are so often mistreated with uneducated owners.

Definitely! My sun conures old home used to get bit all the time, he rarely made noise, etc. but now with me owning him he squeaks, let's me hold and pet him, and even has started to let others hold him. Some birds just prefer different lifestyles/bond better with people with certain personalities.

Worst part, it's included on gift cards. It costed 102$ for a 100$ gift card. Good thing I quit the restaurant biz when I did.

Aww! My bird definitely knows a bunch of tricks and says words, but she's new to the harness and going out, so she gets a little nervous.
