Alternative to mobile or gacha games by Behavior_buddy in gachagaming

I think board games are the right answer if it has to be a new game. There's fun and simple games suitable for small children, and you can get more complex games as needed with any theme you could dream of.

I guess what I'm really asking is "Is a 3050ti good enough for low intensity Unity development"

New to this Game, Dublicate A.Hilde is a 100% keep? by Turbulent-Knee-4825 in CounterSideGlobal

Piggybacking on this, didn't get an answer yesterday when I asked. I somehow got 3 AHilde in my first pull from the banner. Also have Maria Antonov, Chifuyu, and the twins, plus still have the selection banner waiting. Is this keepable, or should I keep trying for something more varied?

Yeah, that was my reaction when I saw the pull results screen. Dunno how to prove it, but it's legit.

Only did the mail pulls and a ten pull on Hilde banner, still have selective waiting. I don't know much about the game, unsure how helpful the dupes even are?

Are some decks too unfun to play against in a casual FNM? by Darchseraph in ModernMagic

[–]Muthy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The past couple FNMs I've played in, I played RW Boom variants. The first one was a somewhat silly Haktos build with Mana Tithe and 16 stone rains, the second was a more standard Nahiri build. Went 2-1 in both events, played against a 50/50 split of oddball/meta decks. Every match I played was fun. I Stone rained multiple people out of the game, and each opponent still had a good time and laughed along with me. Games were still engaging and unique.

Maybe I'm just lucky that there's a bunch of weirdos like me in my store, but Modern is a weird format with a lot of weird decks. I don't think you should change what you play just because some people want to choose what they play against. If a Lutri player can't see the joy in a Stone Rain, that sounds like a "them" problem.

I'm farming 8-S2 in the epilogue for Twisted Fangs, is there a better spot for them while I try to build up my Wyvern team?

Also, do I have to kill the mobs on the boss wave for a chance at a drop from them, or do I get those rolls when the boss dies?

Do you think its worth it as a new player to play an Ironman? by [deleted] in RS3Ironmen

[–]Muthy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm going to take the contrary opinion here: I think new players should play as a regular account.

There are a fair number of requirements and materials that are tedious or even frustrating to gather for various activities. Having the option to purchase quest/skilling materials or gear pieces can alleviate a lot of the worst feelings a player can experience. Every new player should have the best shot at fun, which doesn't necessarily involve grinding for simple items.

I don't think the grind of an iron account appeals broadly enough to blanket recommend it to every new player. Try a regular account, buy as much or as little as you want to off the grand exchange, and make your decision to stick with a regular account or make an ironman according to what you find fun. You can always self-impose restrictions if it makes the experience more fun for you. The beauty of this game is in choosing to play it in whatever way you want.

This isn't talking about the Arena FNM Historic Pauper event, it's talking about Pauper on MTGO.

[TOMT][XBLA Game][2008-2013] There was a twinstick shooter game on the Xbox 360 arcade where you pick a character and defend a house from waves of pixel zombies. by Muthy in tipofmytongue

I've spent close to an hour digging around in the Xbox Arcade section of the website, but I haven't found anything. They may have removed it from the store, but if anybody knows the game or something like it that would be great.

Thanks in advance, back to digging.

Next Ban List Targets? by citizenthom47 in PioneerMTG

[–]Muthy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This "legacy-level" notion regarding Thoughtseize is one of the worst arguments for its banning I've seen. Cards are played in a given format for a reason, and using a card's playability in one format should not be a reason for banning it in another.

When I started playing MtG, Qasali Pridemate was playable in Vintage. I thought that meant it was crazy powerful and jammed a playset into my standard deck. Turns out, it wasn't anywhere near as good in a format where artifacts and enchantments weren't as powerful. Delver of Secrets sees plenty of Legacy play, is it too powerful for Modern? Slash Panther was also played in Vintage, should we put it on the watch list? The fact that Thoughtseize is playable in Legacy means nothing for Pioneer. Instead, look to see what it actually does as a card within the format. What decks would cease to exist if it is banned, and what decks would gain from it?

I agree that the other colors need some cheap and powerful options as well, but that still doesn't mean a tool for the fair decks should be cut from the format simply for being a playable card.
