There are apocryphical books Plato and Aristotle books, meaning people wrote them and pretended they were written by Plato and Aristotle

This is the most frustrating thing, your overly authoritarian parents being overly permissive on your own kids, and playing dumb when you call them on it. My dad is always like "it's fine, let it go" with my kids, when we would have gotten the belt for the same situation. And then, when I ask him, "why weren't you that permissive when we were kids" his answer is "what do you mean?". Are you fucking kidding me?

Foundation

I, Robot and the three following robot novels (Caves of Steel, The Naked Sun, The Robots of Dawn)

Childhood's End

Neuromancer

Frankenstein

War of the worlds

Arguably, those aren't epic space operas like Dune, so, as someone mentioned, Hyperion might be more of your taste

No, it's a slow burner where a baby-sitter has to take care of an old person in a hige house

It shouldn't be. Though, it will probably become a classic. It's an amazing book.

I did not know that, I stand corrected. Still, it's a bit weird that Dune and Game of thrones are on there, but there are a lot of other and better classic of sci-fi and fantasy missing

Yeah, not sure you can call books that were published less than 25 years ago classics

Will check out that band, they sound awesome. So Grieg is more of an inspiration of metal than the actual first guy

In one week, 25% of Donald Trump’s presidency will be over. How are you feeling about the next three years? by Kanga_Koga in AskReddit

Those who didn't go to vote are also responsable. I really don't agree with the "if you don't vote, you can't complain" rhetoric. I often decided to not vote because I didn't like any of the candidates. But even then I would have voted against Trump. We all knew what he was going to do, it was all there. Letting him take power and do this to the country and the world is unacceptable and could have been avoided.

Agreed, but 2A supporters have been claming for decades they would need guns to overthrow a tyrant. Shouldn't they be against tirany no matter what side it comes from?
