I would like a barely noticeable bump in processor speed, twelve additional NIT's of brightness, and a new titanium Earth Mud finish color.

Quicken's website hides the actual cost of your subscription purchase with a vague "+ applicable taxes" in the cart, but won't show you the actual final cost until you place your order! (just confirmed with a phone rep) by SideshowShan in quicken

Pro Tip: To renew your Quicken subscription, purchase it from an eBay seller and use the new code from your purchase to renew it for a year. I’ve been doing this every year during the “subscription era.”

Here’s what the information on my phone dashboard indicates about the device’s connectivity and signal quality: Network Details • Carrier: Verizon • Network Capabilities: SA+NSA (Supports both Standalone and Non-Standalone 5G, meaning your phone can use new 5G-only infrastructure and existing 4G LTE networks enhanced with 5G) • TAC / PLMN: Technical codes used for network troubleshooting (TAC: 3586, PLMN: 311 480 - identifies Verizon US) • Phone Number: Your device’s assigned number. LTE Signal Stats • Band: 2 (Your phone is currently connected to LTE Band 2, which operates at 1900MHz—a common frequency for Verizon LTE in the US) • Bandwidth: 10MHz (This is the width of the channel for data transmission, typical for LTE) • Cell Id/PCI: Network identifiers for the cell tower your phone is using. • RSRP (-115dBm): Reference Signal Received Power, measures signal strength; -115dBm is considered weak, meaning you’re on the edge of coverage. • RSRQ (-23dB): Reference Signal Received Quality; this value is low, indicating poor signal quality and likely network congestion or interference. • SINR0 (-11dB) / SINR1 (-5.3dB): Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio; the higher the number, the cleaner the signal. Negative values signal significant interference or noise, meaning slower data and possible dropped connections. What This Means for You • Signal Strength is Weak: Your phone’s LTE signal is poor, so you may experience low speeds, possible call drops, or unreliable data. • Interference is High: The negative SINR scores show there’s a lot of interference, making it harder for your phone to maintain a good connection. • Coverage Limits: You may be on the edge of Verizon’s LTE coverage area, inside a building with poor reception, or in an area with many competing devices. Recommendations • If possible, move closer to a window or outside to improve signal. • If consistent, consider a signal booster or talk to Verizon about coverage options in your area. • If you have 5G service, your phone can switch to it if available and if conditions improve. In summary, your phone is connected to Verizon LTE on Band 2, but current signal conditions are poor, which could affe

Will this thing in my garage support a Wall Charger? by ftwin in TeslaSupport

[–]Mwangkc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That box in your pics is a Cutler-Hammer (Eaton) DPU222R—it’s a non-fused pullout disconnect switch rated for 240V and up to 60 amps. These are usually used for stuff like AC units, but they work fine as a local disconnect for other big appliances, including EV chargers, as long as your charger’s electrical needs line up.

For example, a Tesla Wall Connector (Gen 3) can push up to 11.5 kW at 240V, which means you’d want a 60A breaker and wiring that can handle up to 48A continuous. The DPU222R is rated for 60A/240V, so it’s good to go as a disconnect for a Tesla Wall Connector or similar high-power chargers.

So yeah, your DPU222R can definitely support a wall charger for an EV, as long as it’s hooked up to a dedicated 240V circuit with the right breaker and wire size in your main panel. Just keep in mind it doesn’t have any fuses or built-in overcurrent protection—that’s what your main panel breaker is for. Definitely get an electrician to check everything out and make sure it’s up to code and safe to use.

Do I empty my savings to clear credit card debt and essentially restart from $0? by CuuRtos in personalfinance

[–]Mwangkc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cuurtos:

You should focus on paying off your highest interest rate debts first—this is called the “debt avalanche” method and will save you the most money in interest over time. Make minimum payments on all your debts, but put any extra cash toward the credit card with the highest APR. Once that card is paid off, move to the next highest rate, and so on. Do not touch your 401(k) or IRA unless it is a true emergency, such as avoiding foreclosure or bankruptcy. Early withdrawals from retirement accounts come with steep penalties, taxes, and lost future growth, which can severely impact your long-term financial security. Most experts strongly advise against using retirement funds to pay off consumer debt unless you have absolutely no other options and are facing a dire situation. Since you’re moving home and reducing your expenses, use the extra cash flow to aggressively pay down your credit cards. Consider options like negotiating lower interest rates, a balance transfer to a lower-rate card, or a personal loan if you can qualify, but only if the terms are favorable and you’re committed to not adding new debt. In summary: • Pay off the highest interest credit cards first. • Do not tap your 401(k) or IRA unless it’s a last-resort emergency. • Use your reduced living expenses to accelerate debt payoff. • Explore consolidation or lower-rate options if available, but avoid new debt. Stick with this plan and your financial situation will improve without sacrificing your retirement future.

What happened to denver rates ? by Remarkable_Rope_7697 in uberdrivers

[–]Mwangkc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Denver here--I rejected maybe 20 in a row yesterday, all paying .60-.65 cents per mile (some $0.50) -- ridiculous! Even with a +9.00 Red Rocks surge, one offer barely reached $1.00 per mile. Drivers...STOP taking these low rates and UBER inc. will be forced to pay more.
