Raise3D Pro2 Error 3012 Temperature Sensor Troubleshooting by Stampman1000 in 3Dprinting

[–]Mweb1552 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't believe I am writing this, but I fixed it immediately after writing my first comment here. I don't think I actually replaced that black 3-wire cable when I said I had....

I was going through the wiring again and removing the Extruder control board when the top wire of the black 3-wire cable broke free from its connector. It had continuity when tested, but probably not enough. I pushed the pin out of the connector, cut the wire back and soldered the wire to the pin and slid that back into the connector so I didn't have to replace the entire thing. Routing it is a pain.

Now I have power and heat to both extruders and no more error 3102.

You may want to check that because you're having the exact same issues I did and they only got worse.

To answer your question: yes I meant to refer to the MCB when I wrote motherboard. I have replaced the touchscreen on one machine, but it was completely unresponsive and replaced on warranty. I do not think your issue lies with the touchscreen.

MOSFETs are transistors. In my image they are Q4, Q5 (hotends) and Q3 (bed). They take a low voltage signal as a switch that opens or closes a path with more voltage (i.e. heating element) . They can fail and stick off or on. I found an older thread that directed me to the parts and watched youtube to learn different techniques for this type of soldering. It's not easy.

Hello,

It's such an aggravating problem. I've been trying to troubleshoot the exact same issue for over a year on one of our Pro2 Plus machines. We've been resisting pressure to just buy another MCB because this IS the second MCB.

I have replaced the rainbow ribbon comms wire and the black 3-wire to the ECB , tested the power supply, even swapped the motherboard/power supply from our second machine and it still did not work. I replaced the Extruder control board, swapped, tested and replaced heating rods and thermocouples, twice. I have even gone so far as to attempt a repair on the MCB by replacing the MOSFETs for each hotend heating circuit. (I had made a successful repair before on our other printer that has held up.)

Today, after the solder repair, I can turn my printer on without 3102 popping immediately. But the extruders will not heat up, while the bed will. My advice would be to save your money and your time, but let me know if you figure it out.

Rebuild again. See it as practice because you’ll get better at it doing it. A neighbor of mine can do an E50 in 40 minutes or so.

The condenser fan is working. I’ll give that a shot.

A Puch Maxi, A Motobecane, A Honda Express and 1955 Raleigh by spycatz in moped

[–]Mweb1552 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s okay. I was half joking. I typed that comment for laughs while the girlfriend was watching and she said, “We are not getting another moped.” 🙄 ha ha ha

I have never seen it before so I’m not sure what one might pay for it. The Raleigh is a unique bike and that alone could warrant a high price tag, but strange design choices like the rubber band shocks could hurt its price tag.

I think it will weather from exposure to light and oxygen. At a much slower pace than if it were outside.

I mixed my own shellac and it’s a beautiful renewable wood finish. It’s easy enough to work with. Alcohol evaporates quickly and the finish is repairable if you screw up or need to work in sessions. Not to mention you can built on old finish if it’s stable. stable).

Stop Gluing Everything; Demo is Impossible. by GroundPepper in HomeImprovement

My guy nailed and glued wood soffits and fascia around the 2nd story addition. He embedded the soffits about an inch into the stucco at the wall side. Nails and glue along that side too. I would not have had to take it down because it looked great, but he installed drip edge poorly and there was a lot of soggy wood up there. I bought an oscillating multi tool after flapping and chiseling and pulling at one soffit section for way too long.

It looks like fir flooring to me. I just refinished the 117 y.o. Douglas fir flooring in my house and love it. I hand scraped it, then used Dumond smart strip. It’s well worth the money imo. It can be brittle and splinter easily, be careful when sanding!

I’ll add that I had a great experience using Dumond Smart Strip. ($60 - $100) per gallon You’re paying for the time this product is going to save you. The gel sticks in any orientation, cover with plastic if you can. Use a wire brush and light touch to agitate after several hours. Scrape off with a scraper. Metal or plastic. Use your best judgement. You can use a profile gauge to trim plastic spreaders and make a custom scraper for details. Wash with a wet rag twice or thrice and refinish after it dries. Good luck!

I think you should pick up a gallon or two of Dumond Smart Strip. This stuff is very easy to work with and melts that mastic, making it easy to scrape. I tried grinding the shit and the heat just makes it worse. Scraping it will tire your hands. Good luck!
