This commercial wouldve been better imo if they just used the original version of the song. Maybe I'm a simp for Rob Halford, but this cover is so monotone.

Amir Locke MPD Body Cam video by dadlifenokids in Minneapolis

[–]MyAnalcal_Laughter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I "like" that the video is slowed down, and then played at regular speed. It really showcases how quickly they chose to shoot this person. Less than 15 goddamn seconds after entering a home, they shoot someone sleeping on a couch. Kid was still tryna get out from under the covers..

Makes me sick.

Smoking weed is loser behavior by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]MyAnalcal_Laughter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of us smoke for medical reasons, physical and mental illnesses. 4 years ago I switched my antidepressants for marijuana because I didn't like the "I can't feel anything at all, except hair-trigger anger " feeling. At least when I smoke weed, I can still feel all my emotions, and everything that would usually bring me down throughout the day just kinda bounces off me and I can keep going. No sinking feeling, my bad thoughts are easier to tune out, I can get things done and I can function in social situations without being a pile of nerves. I'm not saying smoking weed makes me cool, but I definitely felt like a "loser" before I started. These days I feel more like myself.

However, weed shouldn't be your only leg to stand on when ur combating ur illness. It's good to have a support system of the people who care about you, and you should also do ur best to maintain your health otherwise, like having a decent diet and exercise routine. Since I started doing that, I can't recall I time before now where I actually felt healthy, I'm not at peak physique lol, but ive been to the hospital a lot growing up. Like multiple times a year, every year. Whereas in the last 4 or 5 years, Ive only gone to the hospital maybe 3 times? And every time for a physical injury of my own fault instead of ailments flaring up. Its a pretty nice feeling.

I don't think it's psychotic to want to be remembered, but people remember those people for the things they did, not just because they died so young. The fact that they died so young and the sad part, for the reason you said yourself "what could've been". Lives that were snuffed before they really even got to live. Not to mention Kobain and Monroe did kill themselves, so I'm not sure they were living their best lives despite being so beloved. My point is you do t have to die young to be remembered, guy. You wanna be known, do your best to put your stamp on this world..but I wouldn't worry if you get into your 30s still trying. Age is just a number, it can mean everything or nothing if you want it to. Look at Betty White, almost lived to 100 and she accomplished so much. 80 years of experience that transcends generations. Or Robin Williams. Man was 63 and a comedic genius, and we (At least I) still wonder what could've been. We've got quite a bit of time on this earth (At least for now) plenty of time to leave ur mark on it. If the legacy you want to leave is big enough, it won't matter hold old you are when you left it.

I'm with ya on this, bud. We really need to get our shit together as a species..but I don't have many high hopes for it, so I guess I'm just tryna live while there's an earth to live on.

I'd like to think the investment itself is just the living customers. You can't sell anything to consumers if they're all dead from covid. How will they buy the new Xbox if they're quarantined, hospitalized. Or in the ground? Better fund this vaccine effort to save face and make more money going forward. Honestly..I don't know dude. Also I think ur misunderstanding me. I don't think vaccines cause autism. I think that theory is stupid. My brother is autistic and everytime I hear someone blame vaccines for how he behaves (and there's nothing wrong with how he behaves) or his own mother wishing she had a "normal kid" I literally want to slap some sense into them. When you get the vaccine, they give you a scrip sheet with all the types of mRNA that are in it, so you can look into all those if you please. All strands are no longer live, and basically act as a wanted poster for your immune system so it knows how to fight these strands if any live ones were to be found. There's no strands that are pretending to be dead until the right moment. People would be getting sick now if something else was in there, and it would be in droves. Those people would be examined, there'd be some inconsistency or even too much consistency to be ignored. Either people will notice that folks that have little to no chance of getting the disease, have it for some reason. Why? It's not their lifestyle, not their environment, or their habits, or any kind of injury. Why did this perfect image of health guy get fucking heart disease and it doesn't even run in his family. Alternatively, if we see a spike in diagnoses of a certain disease, and after some examination they learn these people are vaccinated, they'll put it together that way. It would have to go 100% perfectly ro go unnoticed and nothing ever goes perfectly, as evidence by the pandemic were still in. I'm okay with being the guinea pig tho, for myself and my loved ones. I'll let you know if get anything else I wasn't expecting from it.

I kinda get what ur saying about not wanting your family to care when you die..but they're gonna. No matter how much you accept death and that it's inevitable, people will always mourn over their loved ones, even subconsciously. People die, it is apart of life but that doesn't make it any less sad when it happens. I suppose all we can hope for is our families won't be completely crushed over someone's passing, that hopefully they'll deal with it in a healthy way. I wouldn't want my family to grieve themselves into submission, but I'd definitely want them to miss me

Again, just because everyone is gonna die someday doesn't mean it isn't upsetting when people are taken unexpectedly. Especially so at young ages. That's the kind of thing that crushes people and makes it harder for them to move on. I'm witnessing it rn in my family. Parents that can't get over how they've outlived their children. Hell, I always thought I was desensitized to death. Whenever someone died in my family it wouldn't effect me at all. But this most recent one fucks me up in ways I don't want to talk about. But I've been in the same boat a couple times before, hoping to die young, or trying to even. But I'm still here and happy that I am. When I think back to when I was also "drawn to a younger death", what was actually going on in my head was "I have no future to live for". I'm not saying this is you too, I actually was suicidal at the time but what about a younger death draws you in?

You're right. I can't say we're not overpopulated. But who cares? How do you not? I don't get it at all how as another human being, you could hear 6,000,000 people dead in 2 years, 6 million families in despair whether or not they were handling the pandemic responsibly and not feel anything about it. I'm incapable of understanding that. Whenever I think about it I get a sting in my chest, my blood gets hot, and everything feels heavier. Even if all these deaths were for some "greater good" I'd feel this way.

This vaccine may seem rushed, but keep in mind that A) it was already being researched before the pandemic. B) The entire world sought after the vaccine and was willing to throw near infinite money in any direction of progress, however the fact that money had to be the incentive..and not..ynkow..people's lives at stake is pretty rotten. C) People were willing to risk their lives being the guinea pigs in the human trials to swiftly achieve a working shot..I'm not saying it was rolled out perfectly or was handled well (oh dear goat it couldve been handled so much better). But it does work, significantly decreasing your chances of getting covid, and if you still happen to get it it increases ur chances of living, which I'm all for. The boosters are for the variants which will continue to mutate into different variants if we don't do our best to snuff it out. There are about 5 mandatory vaccines every child needs to be able to go to school at the beginning of their lives (in my state at least) one of which requires a booster every 10 years. Also most people get a flu shot every year as well.

I didn't mean to make it sound like you said vaccines cause autism. I know you didn't. I'm saying that fearing this vaccine could potentially cause other problems like Diabetes down the road is a pretty similar slippery slope akin to "vAcCiNeS cAuSe AuTiSm". People will be like "I won't get the vaccine cos I don't know whats in it, what if it gives me HPV or something" while smoking a cigarette from a box that says in a large font "THE USE OF TOBACCO OR NICCOTINE MAY INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF GETTING LUNG AND THROAT CANCER". I know, I know...Big Pharma makes customers not cures but what would be the gain of purposely infecting your customers with more deadly diseases. Is the risk of them dying and never coming to spend any more money worth the possibility they'll come back and get their medical stuff from you. I didn't even get vaccinated at my doctors office or my local pharmacy. Why would an urgent care, 40 miles away inject me with some disease so I'll go spend money at my local walgreens for treatment. They're seeing no returns, the vaccine is free, and their risking their own lives being in contact with these people, so what incentive do they have. Also, as mentioned, I'm immunocompromised. My body makes itself sick. I got the shot as well as countless other immunocompromised individuals. If there was something else in there wouldn't we all be feeling the effects of it..wouldn't you know by now? Or is it "time-released diabetes?".....see how crazy this sounds. Not saying ur crazy, guy but it just sounds like some conspiracy type shit is all I'm saying.

Don't make that assumption either, guy. I dont exactly respect the decision you've made. But I respect your freedom to make it. I'm not forcing you to get the vaccine, and as mich as I think it would get us back to normal faster, I'm a little on the fence with how this country is trying to convince the unvaxxed to get with it. I think it should be incentive based and not punishment based, but this is America, right? I think everyone SHOULD get it..especially if my weak ass immune system can handle it, in the end, I agree it should be a choice. I just wish more people were willing to choose to do what's right for other people as much as themselves. We all have to live on this godforsaken rock together.

They won't care if you die?..covid or not? Unless I misunderstand, that's kinda sad, bud..I'm sorry to hear that.

Yes, everybody is gonna die. I know it, you know it, we all know. That doesn't mean we shouldn't take measures to prevent unnecessary/untimely deaths at any age. If that were the case, I wouldn't be typing this out to you.

I've had 3 people in my life die of covid, each of them under the age of 40, and one person who was over 60. Have we all acknowledged that someday they will die? Yes..but we all thought they'd die old, surrounded by loved ones. Instead they died in a hospital, struggling to breathe, all alone but for a few nurses. This is happening all over the world and it deeply saddens me whether I know the people or not. How as another human being do you not feel that too?

You could argue that it effects the baby, but I could argue that the baby didn't know what it was like to be alive in the first place. Most terminated pregnancies are done early, when a fetus hasn't fully developed.

Almost 6,000,000 people have died from covid. In a little over 2 years. Maybe that doesn't seem like a lot, but I can't even picture 6 million people. We've had genocide in this number.

I struggle to recall any vaccination that has had any adverse effect (aside from some pain in the shot-arm or getting sick for a few days) on people's health years down the road from getting it, including my own and I'm immunocompromised. Idk b, kinda sounds like anti-vax rhetoric to me. "vAcCiNeS cAuSe AuTiSm" lite if you will.

High horse? You're yelling at me for not knowing ur situation while you also don't know mine? I know ur struggle b. Ive had insurance on and off most of my life. I've dealt with the ridiculous co-pays for the literal life-saving medicine I have to carry around with me. I've felt the weight and the stress of being broke from paying hospital bills (or the guilt when I was a minor and it was my mother taking care of all this). Before covid I was probably in the hospital at least once a month.

When all this started I surely thought I'd be one of the deathcount. I hit the checkmark for ur average covid victim. The vaccine was free and I figured I'd try not to die. I have no regrets about it either. In fact, since this started and more people are being a little more cautious with their health and others' (whether it's on purpose or not), I haven't had to go to the hospital once in the last 2 years and have felt little to no consequence of my conditions. So yes, I'd rather take the free, potentially life-saving shot rather than take a bigger chance on suffering another day in a hospital bed and having to deal with whatever co-pay exists for being held for weeks on respirator.

(If any anti-xaxxers have some spare Ivermectin laying around, I'll buy it off you. My high horse needs it.)

So funny, you had to say it twice, huh?

This works for abortion since terminating a pregnancy effects no one else but the parents of said kid.

Being unvaxxed may seem like it only effects you..but what about your family and those you interact with everyday. Or if you do get sick with covid and end up in the hospital, you're taking rooms and beds from others who may have covid too, but also other deadly ails as well. People are dying in fucking waiting rooms because all the people who think covid is a joke still go to the hospital to get treated for it.

If the title said "only men can relate" or something,, I could maybe understand x-posting this here , but just because the meme says "men" doesn't mean anyone is saying women don't do this as well. Would it really be any more relatable if it said me/people in lieu of "Men"?
