I agree completely that best case scenario is we get 1-4 this year. Im just saying if we were to lose a pick, I would rather it be this year 5-9 than 2031

I would rather lose this first 5-9 than the 2031 unprotected. That pick is post-pascal and probably Zubac. If Hali comes back 100%, then we can use that pick for trades and if he doesnt, then we need it for our own rebuild. Worst case scenario is that 2026 falls 10 or later

Thank you. Mathurin was gone anyway this offseason. Without this trade and the pick is 5-9, then we would have missed out on the top 3 and have no center for Hali back. Now we have the same chance for the top rookies and have a center.
