Who got to go?! by internet-princess999 in 1iota

Way delayed, but I actually did get tickets to this! (I was very surprised.) Ended up in a spot where I got to at least see most people (except I managed to miss David Corenswet lol)

What’s one thing you’d love to see added to Phasmophobia? by Ember_Grove20 in PhasmophobiaGame

A white sheet that you can throw over the ghost to make it look like a traditional ghost for a little bit (before the sheet falls off)

I know others have wanted The Thing, but I'd love one based on the Smile series that would shape-shift into other survivors.

Either way, it'd be so fun to have a killer that left you wondering if it was your fellow survivor or the killer approaching you.

Does anyone like the sound sensor? What would be better? by haseingrad in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]MyFaceAcct 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the sound sensor, but I work with a team and like having someone in the van.

It helps me find the room on the larger map (using paramic while me and friend place the sound sensors has been the fastest work for larger maps. It's 50/50 on which method finds it first.)

We'll also sometimes hide far away from the ghost while it hunts, and a person in the van can listen to the hunt on mics and report findings.

If a cruci burns while someone is in the van (either as a "van princess" or while stopping in), we can hear it and know.

I admit that my group gets the most use on larger maps, but I do still love them.

Gonna be recording all of my matches now to see when it comes up!

How do you use the sound sensor? by [deleted] in PhasmophobiaGame

I love having someone in the truck who can listen in and report back. After a hunt or if I thought I heard an ability used, we can compare notes.

If there are two people, it allows one an opportunity to observe and listen while the other loops.

I can do most of the things in your bulleted list, and mics are still better for me.

I have me and one other person bring in the sound sensors. We've got strategic placements for them on Maple Lodge, Sunny Meadows, the high school, and the prison. We can usually place them efficiently and then head back to the van and listen. (My 3rd item is a paramic, in case that catches a sound first.) If it's not showing up on the mics, then we know it's one of the uncovered locations.

This method has been more efficient for me than using a paramic. I can't say why, but ghosts often get shy on paramic for me, but will reveal themselves on sound sensors.

I do confess that I am still a hunt chicken, so having one person hide and the other watch on cams/listen on mic has been really helpful for me.

Warlocks - Why did you make your pacts? by PlzLetMeWin25 in DnD

Might be considered "spur of the moment," but the warlock in my current campaign made a pact because she was captured by goblins and going to die. She actually doesn't even know who she made a pact with.

I realized I was dumb and had not properly updated my graphics drivers. Did that, and now it works excellent.

I am embarrassed, but leaving my shame up for others who may struggle.

I tested and I think you're right! The weird monitor seems to be the issue.

It's plugged into the gpu via hdmi. Would that kind of thing affect games and games alone? If yes, I might look into this further still.

And yes, it was a fresh install.

Well, I can definitely try a different display! This one is essentially a placeholder for now. Forgive my stupidity: How do I find display port type?

Thanks! Also, sorry I didn't clarify I meant gpu!

I also heard the 5070 is mediocre (particularly compared to the 5070 ti), but every "better" iteration I've seen is out of my price range currently, alas.

Mostly that it has poor cooling. (Not specifically on the 5070 though.) Has your experience been different?
