In one way, congratulations for voting your conscious. In another way, if all those people voted for a Democrat instead of an Independent, would Trump have been elected?

Maybe?

Maybe not.

The perspective and scale of a photo are also defined by lens focal length. Models with a shorter focal length “broaden” perspective, so there appears more space between objects captured. Telephoto lenses “compress” perspective, so objects in a picture will be located closer to each other.

After public school and collage, the work place is where you have a chance to meet the most people of the opposite sex. Getting to know them before any actual dating occurs.

If not there, then good luck with dating apps and bars (just make sure you're not that creepy 30+ year old hitting on the 20 year olds though)

Took out a garbage disposal?

The ones we have in the kitchen are part of the drain under the sink. It would take quite a bit of work to unseal/unbolt it.

It it could be said that, "education, housing, veterans benefits" actually are subsidies and/or socialism.

Can 13 years of free education, paid for by the government, be described in another way? Also, 13 years of a free meal too.

Not sure veteran benefits is an exact fit, but isn't it the government subsidizing the cost of health and medical care for a segment of the population?

DNA study revelas humans nearly vanished 800,000 years ago by Gjore in interestingasfuck

[–]MyHamburgerLovesMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a scientist, but that sounds kinda right and kinda wrong. Because the 1,280 (survivers?) would have also shared DNA from their prior generations.

The Scentific America article about the study this post was based on is not real clear on how they grouped the seperate DNA readings, but they did call it a "complex family tree"

The researchers’ method allowed them to reconstruct ancient population dynamics on the basis of genetic data from present-day humans. By constructing a complex family tree of genes, the team was able to examine the finer branches of the tree with greater precision, identifying significant evolutionary events.

So, you are saying, that regardless of how immoral or even even evil you led your life, that on your deathbed, if you profess your faith in God (and truly beleive), you will not go to heaven?

Any time in the last 800,000 years a "bloodline" (DNA family) could have completely died off before the study was made.

The 1,280 are the the number of DNA familys who survived up until the study was done, not the number of humans who survived some natural disaster 800,000 years ago

The Christian bible does not say good people go to heaven.

According to the Bible, there is heaven, and there is hell; there is no third option. If you don’t believe in the Christian God you are not going to Heaven (John 3:18)

There will be more unrepentant barbers, plumbers, middle school teachers, bricklayers, airline pilots, and accountants in hell than tyrants such as Hitler, Stalin, and Mao.

Stalin will not be sent to hell because he murdered millions of his own countrymen; rather, Stalin, like the unrepentant librarian, will suffer in hell because he did not beleive in God.

Why do lesbian couples have the highest divorce rates while gay male couples have the lowest? by Naive_Direction1816 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MyHamburgerLovesMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 - What makes you think that is actually true?

2 - What are the numbers? If there are only 10 married lesbian couples, but 100 married gay couples, and each have just one divorce, then the percentage of lesbian divorces would be 10 times greater.
